An engineer from S Africa with a creative bent, Owen started his film career in the Motion Picture & TV industry at Pinewood Studios with Superman, and climbed the ranks to Gaffer and Director of Photography on a long list of feature films, music videos, and tv commercials, working alongside some of the top cinematographers in the world.

Art Rentals for Film & Media from Portland Art Museum

The Rental Sales Gallery is part of Portland Art Museum, and was founded in 1959 as a nonprofit gallery to give people access to the some of best of our regional artists. We proudly represent almost 200 artists from Oregon and Washington State.

With a total inventory of over 1,000 original artworks, you can be assured that we will have artworks that you will love. Mediums include oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings; wood, metal, and stone sculptures, drawings, collages, photography and framed prints.

Particle Studio Opens SE Portland Production Stage Space

Particle Studio, a  soundproof studio space for video and photo production, has opened a new stage space in SE Portland.

Particle Studio is outfitted with an L-shaped cyc wall, industry grade lighting, high-end finishes, fully-functional model kitchens, and on-site equipment rentals. There’s also powered grids, ground floor load in, and a staff that’s eager to assist with any needs your production may have.

This new studio has been built from the ground up (literally) to fulfill all production needs.

Rentals, Repairs, and Rock’n’Roll – Behind-the-Scenes at Koerner Camera Systems

Portland Based Koerner Camera was recently featured in a “mini doc” from Cine D called “Rentals, Repairs, and Rock’n’Roll – Behind-the-Scenes at Koerner Camera Systems.”

Cine D took time to visit Koerner Camera Systems, the largest camera rental house north of Los Angeles with offices in both Portland and Seattle, and talked to owner Michael Koerner about the history of his business.

PassinArt Theatre: Pacific Northwest Multi Cultural Readers Series & Film Festival

PassinArt Theatre is having their second biennial Pacific Northwest Multicultural Readers Series & Film Festival Thursday – Sunday, August 17-20, 2023 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

Oregon Film: Who We Are & What We Do (Update 2022)

What has Oregon Film been up to? – After assuring our industry worked so well through the turbulent pandemic period with several projects of all sizes, 2022 started off with a slow down. Needless to say, Oregon is still attractive and a great place to bring your creative production. Recently we worked with the state legislature and partners like the OMPA and the IATSE and SAG-AFTRA unions to increase the film and media cash rebate percentages from 18% to 25%. Mt Angel Theater Studio & TUNE TOURS

Seasoned photographer and musician, Jon Deshler has taken over the Mt Angel Theater & Studio. A unique 3000 sq ft space in a special town, built out by a novel local, his friend – Stu Rasmussen. Deshler once owned and worked out of what is now the Coopers Hall in SE Portland and has for a time been working just outside of the Portland metro area south of Oregon City in the beautiful countryside of the north Willamette Valley. Having collaborated with Rasmussen over the last twelve years on myriad projects, the two became friends and supporters of each others endeavors.
