It’s great to watch movies set in your hometown.  For many of us, Free Willy is a childhood favorite. This Sept. 22nd, when attending the #OregonMade film event, pay close attention to the implicit biases that show up in this film. Mt Angel Theater Studio & TUNE TOURS

Seasoned photographer and musician, Jon Deshler has taken over the Mt Angel Theater & Studio. A unique 3000 sq ft space in a special town, built out by a novel local, his friend – Stu Rasmussen. Deshler once owned and worked out of what is now the Coopers Hall in SE Portland and has for a time been working just outside of the Portland metro area south of Oregon City in the beautiful countryside of the north Willamette Valley. Having collaborated with Rasmussen over the last twelve years on myriad projects, the two became friends and supporters of each others endeavors. Congratulations to Hinge on their recent CG stop-motion style Alpenrose’s spot, ‘Keep Portland Small’ on winning multiple Addy’s last week – in particular, a Gold in Animation/VFX/Motion Graphics Elements of Advertising/Animation!
Hinge Digutal and CMD teamed up to create this charming stop-motion style CG animated campaign, Keep Portland Small, for Alpenrose’s new home delivery service.
The spot tells the story of the Alpenrose Dairy and its milk deliveries, starting with their beginning in 1916, and the growth of the once-little town of Portland, Oregon.

Atlas Obscura and Land Rover Explore Central Oregon

Athlete and sports caster, Jessica Mendoza, recently appeared in a commerical for Atlas Obscura and Land Rover that featured beautiful Central Oregon. The Central Oregon film office worked with the production company finding locations, crew and helped with permitting at locations such as the National Forest, Clear Lake and Sahalie Falls.

Hinge Digital & CMD Team Up To Create Charming Alpenrose Commercial

Hinge Digutal and CMD teamed up to create a charming stop-motion style CG animated campaign, Keep Portland Small, for Alpenrose’s new home delivery service. The spot tells the story of the Alpenrose Dairy and its milk deliveries, starting with their beginning in 1916, and the growth of the once-little town of Portland, Oregon. A miniature world builds and grows in front of our eyes, bringing to life the relationships between the delivery people and their communities, as well as the ups and downs of living in a growing city.

Hinge Digital Creates Covid-19 Spots

Hinge Digital has been busy creating a number of Covid19-related spots including, “Unite in Gratitude” for Omnicom Health/Pfizer/Merck that was finished in June and launched a few weeks ago.  Mark Axton, Hinge Senior Producer, said, “It is a tribute to front line healthcare workers, combining Live action (stock footage) and our photorealistic CG/VFX Gratitude Flag. Oregonian Location Manager, Mike Floyd, Wins “Location Manager of the Year” At California On Location Awards

Many, well-deserved congratulations to Mike Floyd – Honored by the California On Locations Awards as, “Location Manager of the Year’!

Oregon Shines In The New Rivian Electric Pickup Truck Commercial – “The Clean Escape”

#OregonMade, “The Clean Escape” makes the state shine in the new Rivian electric pickup truck commercial.  From the Astoria-Megler bridge to the Pearl in downtown Portland, Mount Hood, the Rowena curves, and back out to the beach – just some of the locations covered in this one.  The Rivian is billed as the “Worlds First Electric Adventure Vehicle”. When asked about working on the shoot, Location Scout and Manager, Beth Melnick responded,  “It was inspiring to work on a commercial promoting clean technology that supports our number one pass-time here in Oregon, exploring the out of doors.
