Pelt: Local student horror film now online

After committing murder, Rufus must decide between keeping his dark deed a secret or exposing his crime to save the woman he loves, from the very man he killed.

A year after its filming and film festival run“Pelt” is a supernatural period thriller, written and directed by Rowan Spiers-Floyd and starring Adam Elliott Davis, Jeffree Newman and Jennifer Eastwood, can now be found online.Made by a devoted team of students and independent filmmakers, the film was shot on location at the Fort Clatsop replica, near Seaside, Oregon.

“Wild” Has Been Attracting Public Interest As Well As Local And National Press

Oregon’s industry members present awards for excellence in craft and community building

Hundreds of actors, agents, casting directors and industry supporters, including Senate President Pro Tempore Ginny Burdick and AFL-CIO President Tom Chamberlain were on hand to celebrate the depth, breadth and professional skills of Oregon’s on-screen acting industry at Oregon’s Got Talent in Portland last Saturday. The Oregon film and television industry event included an actor’s expo, workshops and awards show

with musicians Hamilton Cheifetz, Jeffrey Kauffman, Richard Moore, Portland Teen Idol winner Haley Ward, and acclaimed funnyman Darius Pierce as Master of Ceremonies.

Phrenic Invites You to “Go Clone Yourself”

Phrenic–an iOS thriller you watch, read, and play–invites anyone to create a character by uploading a video or writing a very short story from the perspective of a human clone. Videos and stories can be submitted from the Phrenic app itself or on Phrenic’s page on Theatrics. A storyline about liberated clones was designed specifically as a framework for user generated content. Disguises (or Halloween costumes) are encouraged to protect the identity of other clones.

Stories and videos will be published in the Phrenic app and online (one user-submitted story is already live in the app).

Director of last year’s Cell Count makes new short film “M is for Marriage” to be considered as part of the ABC’s of Death 2 anthology film.

Tips For Renting Your ‘Hot Property’ As A Film Location

Of the five major broadcast television networks’ 23 new one-hour dramas offered up last year, only two were filmed in Hollywood. State tax incentives from outside California have successfully lured many productions to other economies, and created a growing market for a variety of property owners in Oregon as location providers. Indicating the extent to which films are made outside the confines of studio lots in America, about five years ago- when California still commanded the lion’s share of the film location market -Los Angeles County issued permits for over 30,000 film location days, with about 75% of Southern California’s location filming shooting in private residences.

NBC Universal’s, Season 3 of “Grimm” Premieres Strong – More Great Episodes to Come

NBC Universal’s “Grimm” returned for its third season Friday and started up right where it left off. The season 3 premiere was actually up in the ratings from the season 2 premiere and helped launch NBC’s friday night premiere of “Dracula”. Here’s one quick analysis from the Hollywood Reporter. If you were on Twitter during the friday night broadcast, you know that the show is a hit on Twitter as well. During the 9:00pm west coast broadcast the cast was live tweeting and that with the fan interaction made “Grimm” one of the top trending topics on twitter.
