The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is proud to reopen the Portland Arts Project Grant Program (PAPG), which will grant out $1,200,000 to support the creation and sharing of artistic work in Portland. This will be the third annual cycle of this opportunity presented in partnership with the City of Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture. RACC invites applications from organizations, schools, and individual artists spanning all creative disciplines.
PAPG grants are awarded through a competitive process, including peer review panels composed of cohorts of esteemed members of Portland’s creative communities. Proposals may be submitted for a variety of project-oriented endeavors – including programming, presentations, community events, artistic development, and the creation of artworks – and must include a way for the public to engage with their funded activities. Eligibility for this grant is restricted to applicants residing or headquartered within the City of Portland service area. To align with recent changes to City Code regarding the Arts Access Fund, RACC will accept applications in two separate categories. The General Fund category offers grants between $1,000 and $5,000 and is available to a broad range of applicant types, including individual artists, as well as arts organizations and businesses. The Arts Access Fund category offers grants up to $10,000 and is exclusively available to nonprofit organizations and schools applying to fund projects that specifically serve underserved communities and/or K-12 students as defined by Portland City Council.
The application is now open and must be submitted through the RACC Opportunity Portal no later than 11:59pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Grant awards will be announced in late March 2027.
