The second annual Outdoor Adventure Film Grant – “Oregon’s Outdoors Are For Everyone” is open for applications – closes January 31st.

The Grant is being provided by the #OregonMade Creative Foundation in conjunction with Travel Oregon. This grant will provide $20,000 in funding to enable the selected applicant to create a short film that specifically showcases the diversity of people, spirit, passion, and excitement of the outdoor-adventure, or, action sports film genres in the state of Oregon. This program specifically looks to support and encourage diversity of filmmaker and/or the subject matter, in front of and/or behind the camera. OregonMade Creative Foundation & Travel Oregon Team Up To Offer “Winter Season Grant”

Oregon’s Magical Winter Season Grant 

The $15,000 “Winter Season Grant” is being provided by the OregonMade Creative Foundation and in conjunction with Travel Oregon  to create a short film series of moving “postcard stories” that will captivate and encourage people to experience the winter season for themselves. The purpose of this grant is to support local content creators who are producing high-quality, innovative multimedia content about Oregon that inspires travel to or around the state.

New #OregonMade Outdoor Adventure Film Grant – Production Underway

In late 2017, the Oregon Made Creative Foundation (in partnership with Oregon Film,) Travel Oregon, Danner Boots, and the Portland Film Office at Prosper Portland partnered together to bring  funding for a new grant: The Outdoor Adventure Film Grant.

This Grant has enabled our filmmakers, Emilia Quinton and Liz Haan to begin creating a short film that specifically showcases the spirit, passion, and excitement of the outdoor-adventure, or action sports film genres in the state of Oregon and today, we’re excited to share some behind the scenes of what the grantees have been up to! A New #OregonMade Mural And Film Poster Exhibit For The Portland International Airport

 

The new #OregonMade Film History Mural and Poster Exhibit is located in the Portland International Airport’s south pedestrian tunnel which connects the parking garage to the terminal (underground between baggage claims 3 and 4.) It  provides travelers with over 160 uninterrupted feet ofmural art and posters, representing a small collection of Oregon’s rich film hist ory. By creating  this exhibit, we hope to aptly celebrate the unique and varied locations Oregon has to offer, the projects that have called Oregon home over the years, and the professional production communities that come together to make Oregon so film-friendly. Inaugural Outdoor-Adventure Film Grant Opens Tomorrow!

 We are excited to announce, with our partners, our inaugural Outdoor-Adventure Film Grant!
Oregon Film, Travel Oregon, Danner Boots, and the Portland Film Office at Prosper Portland have partnered to bring funding for a new competitive grant, the Outdoor-Adventure Film Grant (OAFG). The OAFG will enable the selected applicant to create a short film that specifically showcases the spirit, passion, and excitement of the outdoor-adventure, or action sports film genres in the state of Oregon. $18,500 in funding as well as equipment, services, and support will be provided. #OregonMadeShows Exhibit Opens At PDX

#OregonMadeShows Exibit

In collaboration with PDXART, and many other partners (please see list below) a new exhibit is up on Concourse E, at the Portland International Airport this week.  The exhibit showcases “vignettes” of artifacts, props and images from just a few of the 400+ feature films & television shows that have utilized Oregon as their production backdrop over the years.  From the early silent era films like “Fisherman’s Bride” (shot in Astoria, 1908), to “Grimm”, the popular NBC television series currently shooting in Portland, Oregon has played an important role in production.
