#OregonMadeShows Exibit

In collaboration with PDXART, and many other partners (please see list below) a new exhibit is up on Concourse E, at the Portland International Airport this week.  The exhibit showcases “vignettes” of artifacts, props and images from just a few of the 400+ feature films & television shows that have utilized Oregon as their production backdrop over the years.  From the early silent era films like “Fisherman’s Bride” (shot in Astoria, 1908), to “Grimm”, the popular NBC television series currently shooting in Portland, Oregon has played an important role in production. Fun Film News out of Ashland and Eugene

This past week there were two news articles of note; one in the Eugene Register Guard and the other in the Ashland Daily Tidings.  In Eugene writer Mark Baker profiled Katherine Wilson’s efforts to start a film museum in the Willamette Valley.  For those of you who have seen Katherine’s photos from the days of “Animal House” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, you know she’s collected a lot of film history on her own – here’s the article.
