“Tell Your Story” Grant Winners Announed
The winners of this year’s “Tell Your Story” grants are Karina Lomelin Ripper and Luann Algoso & Christian Henry. These filmmakers will receive a non-project-specific grant of $15,000 and at least six months of direct support from the Oregon Film Office as well as shared office space at Desert Island Studios. The grant was designed to support a non-project-specific, virtual residency, allowing filmmakers to develop, explore, and shoot the stories they want to tell in any film format they choose.

The Portland Film Office, in partnership with Travel Portland, has announced the recipients of its 2023 Portland Post-Production Grant Program. Selected from a pool of 32 applicants, four local filmmakers will receive $7,500 each for their respective projects.
A program designed to enable mid-career and emerging artists working in film, audio storytelling, immersive realities, performance, animation, etc, the opportunity to develop or continue working upon a new project utilizing resources available to them through PAM CUT including classroom space, gear, marketing, professional support, and an opportunity for exhibition.
Join PAM CUT as we welcome the Head of Business and Legal Affairs at Academy Award-winning ShadowMachine, Rosemary Colliver as she discusses the very pertinent and important production contracts, how to properly create one, and what to be aware of to keep your creative project safe. Coming along for the ride is Academy Award-winning producer Melanie Coombs (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Harvie Krumpet) to help provide further insight with real-life experiences to help participants better understand the importance and necessity of these contracts.
