TNT’s Geena Davis Bounty Hunter Pilot Confirmed to Shoot In Oregon

We know the cat is likely out of the bag but we can now confirm that the upcoming TNT Pilot starring Oscar Winner Geena Davis will be shot here in Oregon.  We’re thrilled to have yet another project from TNT and director/producer Dean Devlin.  Dean and his team at Electric Entertainment have been instrumental in Oregon’s film and television industry growth over the past few years.  Here’s to hoping that this pilot leads to yet another multiple year project much like what “Levereage” was for the past four years!  Continue reading... “TNT’s Geena Davis Bounty Hunter Pilot Confirmed to Shoot In Oregon”

Happy Holidays from Limbo Films!

My what a busy year 2012 turned out to be! We produced spots for Mead Notebooks, Ikea, Intel, Kent State University, Cadet Heating, Leatherman Tools, and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Once the creatives at New York agency Ryan Partners gave Limbo Films the green light on a national spot for Five Star/Mead Notebooks our first task was setting the excellent trainers from Boones Animals in Hollywood to work. For 2 weeks prior to our Santa Monica based shoot they trained 4 hero and 4 back-up pooches to do the tricks required by the script and all their work paid off. Green Happenings – Walking The Green Talk

Last week I attended the Go Green Portland conference with such speakers as Cylvia Hayes, the founder and CEO of 3EStrategies, (a clean economy consulting firm) and partner of Gov. John Kitzhaber; Duncan Wyse, president of the Oregon Business Council; Carol Sanford, author of “The Responsible Business” and Nick Barham of Weiden and Kennedy.   It seemed that they had a common theme; many valuable and interesting businesses are blossoming here in the Pacific Northwest and much useful work is underway but there is much yet be done.  Continue reading... “Green Happenings – Walking The Green Talk”

Season 2 Kick Off of “Grimm” Also a Celebration of the Local Small Business Supply Chain

Greg Knowles from ATI in Bend, OR

Yesterday’s Season 2 kickoff event at the stages of “Grimm” was a great time for all to celebrate the fact that several hundred Oregonians are hard at work making the first of 22 episodes for the new season.  It was also a great opportunity to feature several local vendors who have benefited in many different ways because of “Grimm” and other projects like “Leverage” and “Portlandia”.  While visiting the sets of both “Grimm” and “Leverage”, Governor Kitzhaber has remarked several times about the film and television industry’s great use of the local supply chains.  Continue reading... “Season 2 Kick Off of “Grimm” Also a Celebration of the Local Small Business Supply Chain”

At Sony Pictures “A Greener World” even The Wheel Is Green…..

We have already blogged about the Wheel of Fortune shooting a week’s worth of shows this week end and early next in Portland for their up-coming “green week” but I also wanted to take the opportunity to give a shout out to Sony Pictures Entertainment and their sustainability efforts.

Like other studios, Sony Pictures has in place it’s best practices and green policies; such as their “Road to Zero” (zero waste) and  “A Greener World” vision, on set, in studio offices, stages and across all corporate operations.  Continue reading... “At Sony Pictures “A Greener World” even The Wheel Is Green…..”

Portland Animation Now! – January 27-28

Discover Portland’s Powerhouse Animation Scene

Portland birthed the California Raisins. It schooled the voice of Bugs Bunny and the mind behind The Simpsons. It’s home to “the queen of indie animation.” It’s a rising force in entertainment, producing both TV shows and hit feature films such as Coraline.

On January 27-28, Portland Animation Now! reveals the power source behind these cultural icons: our electric, eclectic, grassroots animation scene.

Organized by the folks who brought us the first-ever NW Animation Festival this past summer, PAN!
