A group of former college friends and colleagues gather for a ramshackle lunchtime wake at the Cornelius pass roadhouse in Hillsboro, Oregon after learning their friend Keith Larson has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award. Intel “Monster Truck” Commercial Produced by Lyon Films is Out

Earlier in the year Lyon Films produced this spot for Quango out in Hillsboro.  I don’t know if it’s their largest spot but it’s sure to have the largest amount of destruction on any Lyon Films production.  Congrats to Devon, Kevin and the whole crew on the shoot.  Looks great! Oregon Film, PIE, and Intel Partner to Form Oregon Story Board – Hack With TrackTown USA is First Project

Program to embrace growing digital storytelling cluster, accelerate new projects


PORTLAND, Ore — DATE — The Oregon Governor’s Office of Film and Television and PIE (Portland Incubator Experiment) have partnered to launch Oregon Story Board, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education, support, and promotion of digital media production throughout Oregon. Intel Corporation has committed to the program as the first corporate sponsor.  Oregon Story Board has also teamed with Eugene based TrackTown USA for its first project – the “Hack at Hayward”. Happy Holidays from Limbo Films!

My what a busy year 2012 turned out to be! We produced spots for Mead Notebooks, Ikea, Intel, Kent State University, Cadet Heating, Leatherman Tools, and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Once the creatives at New York agency Ryan Partners gave Limbo Films the green light on a national spot for Five Star/Mead Notebooks our first task was setting the excellent trainers from Boones Animals in Hollywood to work. For 2 weeks prior to our Santa Monica based shoot they trained 4 hero and 4 back-up pooches to do the tricks required by the script and all their work paid off. Two Oregon Media Tech Companies Attract New Investment and Promise For New Employment @Ensequence, @Elementaltech

This week two companies with a large and growing presence in Oregon announced siginificant new funding. Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, announced that it raised $13 million in Series C financing led by Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) this week. Elemental was the recipient of last year’s Innovation in Media Arts award.  2012 is proving to be a pivotal year for Elemental thanks in part to the Summer Olympics.  At the Olympics this year Elemental will be powering multiscreen video in 30+ countries which shows how far of a reach the company has made in a short period of time.
