Cinema Pacific Festival Kicks Off In Eugene April 23rd

To help studios and producers stay on top of crew and resources and to promote Oregon’s unique production advantages, the trade group Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA) has released the 2014 SourceOregon, a directory of the professional crew, talent, vendors and support services that make up Oregon’s bustling industry. OSF Costume Inventory: a Great Asset for Film & TV Projects Everywhere
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Ashland, southern Oregon) is well known for it’s high caliber theatre performances. Lesser know is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Costume Rentals. OSFCR is a full-service costume rental facility that features around 100,000 costumer pieces designed and made in-house. OSFCR has been renting costumes since 2004 but only started renting to the film and TV market for the past 6 years. They have been successful, with many repeat customers, from primetime shows on NBC, ABC, HBO, TNT, as well as many feature films. Oregon Film Office Says Thanks To “Leverage” For Four Great Seasons Shooting In Portland By Donating Neighborhood Trees
The Oregon Film & Television Office thanked Leverage for four great seasons shooting in the Portland Metro area by donating four trees to be planted in metro neighborhoods through the Friends Of Trees non-profit program. Leverage’s Producer, Dean Devlin, was presented with a certificate noting the dates and neighborhoods the trees will be planted by Senator Ginny Burdick (and, naturally, the certificate was printed on 100% recycled, FSC certified paper). At Oregon Film & Television’s Annual Meeting last night, Dean Devlin (Producer, Leverage) and Governor Kitzhaber presented Film Advocate Awards to Catherine Comer and Jamie Johnk from Clackamas County Business and Economic Development. Catherine, (Business & Economic Development Manager) and Jamie (Economic Development Coordinator) represent a “best case” example of the cooperation between the needs of the film and media production industry and the community at large. UPDATED AGAIN- Series Finale of “Leverage” Airs on Christmas Night 10:00 PST What Surprises are Coming?
UPDATED AGAIN – It was just announced that after five great seasons (four in Oregon) “Leverage” is coming to an end on Christmas night. We’ve been so blessed to have four great seasons in Oregon and we look forward to future TNT and Electric Entertainment productions in the future. For now though, we’ll look to enjoy the series finale on Christmas night.

All Three Oregon Produced Shows Airing New Episdoes this Weekend!
Are you ready for a weekend full of Oregon produced Television? Starting tonight on IFC “Portlandia” airs episode 2 of its second season. Tonight’s episode includes guest stars Jeff Goldblum, Edward James Olmos, Eddie Vedder, and even an Eddie Vedder tatoo. I had the chance to see the episode early and I have to say that the Portland Allergy Pride Parade is hilarious! Filmmakers begin to move film and television production up to the Pacific Northwest.
Portland, Ore. – Portland, Oregon is rapidly becoming the next production capital of the west thanks to the hit television show Portlandia, which debuted on the Independent Film Channel last January.
The wildly popular show, set to debut its second season in January 2012, stars comedians Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. Armisen, best known as a returning cast member of Saturday Night Live and Brownstein, a former band member of Portland-based Sleater Kinney, first grabbed viewers attention when the six-episode series aired earlier this year. Main Cast of Supernatural Thriller “Nightscape” Announced

MAIN CAST OF SUPERNATURAL THRILLER “NIGHTSCAPE” ANNOUNCED
Portland, Oregon—Writer-director David W. Edwards announced the main cast for his first feature film, Nightscape. The film stars, in alphabetical order: Emily Galesh, LaVerne Green, Joshua St. James and Jorge Madrid. The film shoots later this month in and around Portland.
In Nightscape, an emotionally guarded drifter, Kat (Galesh), crosses paths with a phantom car responsible for a wave of supernatural violence. The drifter must learn to trust again if she is to end a lifetime of bad luck and to help her newfound companions survive the growing chaos and carnage.
