Live Updates from the Set of "Leverage"

TNT's "Leverage"

The “Leverage” gang has to be one of the most Twitter savy groups out there. Thanks in large part to the leadership of Dean Devlin, many of the cast and crew tweet frequently about the goings on in and around Portland. Unlike other productions where information is always on lockdown, “Leverage” has opened their set to it’s fans and followers.

With over 750,000 teen pregnancies annually in the United States, nearly a third of them not carried to term, Nine – a new scripted series produced by the Public Internet Channel will examine the all too real consequences of this life changing phenomenon from a teen father’s point of view.

Governor's Conference on Toursim

Over 500 people from the tourism industry were at the three day conference held at the River House Hotel and Conference center in Bend.  Governor Ted Kulongoski was in attendance and talked about the economic impact tourism has had on Oregon.  Of specific interest to the production community, the Governor acknowledged in his Monday morning address, a major growth in the amount of money film companies have spent in Oregon in the last few years, expanding from $10 million to $80.

Three Event Screenings of "Not Dead Yet" at the Hollywood Theater

Hot Flash Films PDX and Velocity Sisterhood presents three separate event screenings of “Not Dead Yet”, a dramedy about life, hot flashes, and profound re-awakenings, at the Hollywood Theater April 23rd-25th. All ticket sales will be benefiting five Portland area women’s non-profits:  Life By Design NW, Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation, NARAL Pro-Choice and OAASIS – Oregon Association of Abuse Survivors in Service.

Interview with Lauren Selman

Greenlit documented the making of the feature film The River Why and the trials and tribulations that go with trying to green a film set.  I had a chance to ask Lauren Selman, (Reel Green Media) the hired set “greener” for The River Why production, a few questions:
