Deep Sky collaborated directly with Billy Corgan over the last 6 months to translate his narrative vision into cinematic form, set to the soundtrack of the band’s newest song releases.

SIGGRAPH is an organization dedicated to furthering the field of computer graphics and 3D animation, and each year at the national SIGGRAPH convention, a highlight is always the Animation Festival and Electronic Theater. House Special founding partner Lourri Hammack and animator Chris Ohlgren presented a specially made puppet of Gov. Brown and a short, stop-motion video of the Governor taking a quick trip across Oregon to the Capitol in Salem to Gov. Brown herself as part of the Oregon Film, Television and Interactive Industry Day recognitions as arranged by the OMPA. Lisa Cicala, Executive Director of the OMPA and Rosemary Colliver from NW Portland-based animation studio ShadowMachine were also on-hand to discuss the growth of the industry. May 20, 2019 PORTLAND, ORE – Animation studio HouseSpecial has signed Director John Robson to its in-House director roster. Robson brings a digitally-rich portfolio that includes the Vimeo Staff Pick CG short Quality Time and memorable content for brands including Xbox One X, Nike, IBM, Apple, Gnarls Barkley and Campbell’s Soup. A Southern California native, Robson refined his accomplished narrative sensibilities in Los Angeles at studios such as Blind, ManvsMachine, Brand New School and Motion Theory.
To The Stars film is a locally produced stop-motion animated short film about a little girl with a big dream of becoming an astronaut and the inspirational tale of her adventure as she attempts to defy gravity and return a fallen star to its home in the sky

As a HouseSpecial animator, you will create the performance of computer graphics characters and objects within a shot, using animation software tools such as Maya to convey emotion, movement action and personality. Our teams move fast; we never compromise on creativity.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to plan out shots using thumbnail drawings or other forms of thought out planning.
Can block in rough animation with strong clear posing, acting, timing & appeal for Director, and/or Supervisor, approval within a reasonable amount of time.
