Fans of animation and short films take note – we have an absolutely LOADED program of shorts coming for our first Design Week Animated Shorts Showcase. This is shaping up to be a big night that we hope to repeat yearly. A screening of Mark Smith’s Two Balloons headlines, with behind the scenes presentation + Q&A. Another highlight will be looking back at our (AEPDX – Animate Everything Portland) Design Week animation invitationals over the past 5 years, as Jamal Qutub has put together a cool “best of” retrospective! And much much more, including some stellar student work from PNCA and PSU. Design Week is packed, but this stands out as the can’t miss animation event therein. Taking place on Wednesday, April 10, from 6:30-9pm at OMSI’s Empirical Theater. All details and links for tickets are at the VFX/PDX user group page.
