We stock mostly used so we have a lot of interesting oddities, but the basics of our business are shelving units, showcases, clothing racks, cash counters, mannequins, display forms – everything you need to make a store look like a store.

The majority of our revenue comes from selling fixtures to retail establishments, and most of our rentals are to clothiers, jewelry designers, and other retailers who just need a rack or a mannequin for a one-day event like a convention or a festival. Shot In Newport – “Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove” Premiered September 13

The first spinoff of Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” began airing begin airing this September – “Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove” and premiered to 1.54 million viewers.

The show chronicles 4 families that fish for Dungeness crab in the treacherous, beautiful and rugged Oregon Coast.  The show follows Newport locals; Marc Sehlbach; Mikey Retherford, Jr.; Chris Retherford; Gary Ripka, his son, Kenny Ripka; and Jonny Law.

In collaboration with PDXART, and many other partners (please see list below) a new exhibit is up on Concourse E, at the Portland International Airport this week.  The exhibit showcases “vignettes” of artifacts, props and images from just a few of the 400+ feature films & television shows that have utilized Oregon as their production backdrop over the years.  From the early silent era films like “Fisherman’s Bride” (shot in Astoria, 1908), to “Grimm”, the popular NBC television series currently shooting in Portland, Oregon has played an important role in production. OPB Music Premieres 2nd “Road Sessions” Series Just In Time For Summer

Beginning today, and for the next 6 Thursdays, look for a new a season of Road Session – different bands on the road in various Oregon State Parks.  If you want to hear some of the bands featured live (Performers include The Weather Machine, Sama Dams, and Haley Heyndericks), check out Pints in the Pearl this Saturday, 12-9pm.

NY Times Gives A Shout-out To Pappas & “Tracktown”

There is excitement building for the locally filmed and produced, “Tracktown”.  It is set to premier at the Los Angeles Film Festival next month.  The film explores the struggle to find an equilibrium between a world-class running career, and a regular life, inspired by Pappas’ own life.  Jeremy Teicher co-produced the movie with Pappas, and it was filmed on location at Hayward Field, Eugene. Mushrooms Are Now A Solution For Eco-Minded Set Designers
