Shot here in Portland, this eco-conscious short film uses comedy to present a strong message about rethinking the nature of our relationship with the natural world.
Created by filmmakers Patrick Gilmore & Paul North, who work with Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic documenting around the world, both above and below the water, the film ventures to change minds through laughter.
After making his way through another successful Eastern Oregon Film Festival, filmmaker and Eastern Oregon native Ian Clark is taking his most recent project “MMXIII” on a theatrical tour……. online. Ian has made arrangements for several different websites to host his project on their site over the next month. The “tour” actually started last week on the Eastern Oregon Film Festival website and now is on Filmmaker Magazine’s website. In years gone by, Moviemaker Magazine lumped together big city and small town to compete for the sought after title of, “Best Places To Live and Work as a Moviemaker”. This year, the magazine has split their list into three components:
Top Big Cities (they define as more than 50,000 residents)
The new Production Department Building for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Talent, OR, completed construction in late October 2013. On November 19th, OSF Costume Rentals started the monumental task of moving their stock of over 50,000 costume pieces from a rented warehouse in Ashland, OR, their home of almost ten years, six miles down the road to their brand new state of the art facility. Oregon Media Production Association celebrates achievements of commercial, film, TV and interactive media production in Oregon at their annual meeting on Tuesday night. With 2014 coming quickly, we thought it would be a good idea to send out an update on the Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF) and the Indigenous Oregon Production Investment Fund (iOPIF).
In October we completed our second tax credit auction and successfully sold out the remaining tax credits from the new $10million annual allotment. The total amount of funds raised for fiscal year 2013-2014 is $9,870,610 which is the highest return on the tax credit sale to date. December 6, 2013 – Portland, Oregon – Oregon Story Board, launched earlier this year by a consortium of research, private, and state groups, today welcomes its inaugural Executive Director Nicholas de Wolff, after a comprehensive national search. Nicholas will be responsible for developing and overseeing the organization’s strategic and operational mission.
