Next week, Governor Kate Brown, will unveil a grove of trees in a north Portland park, as a way to permanently thank many departments in the City of Portland, and to celebrate the crew, vendors and service people of Oregon that made it possible for the show to be such a success.

We are excited to announce that, along with City of Portland, and Friends of Trees, we will be planting a grove of trees in a north Portland park as a fitting way to say #ThankyouGrimm. “Grimm” the #OregonMade, NBC Universal series, shot in many locations around the metro area.  The show ended earlier this year after 6 years and 123 episodes, all based in Oregon.  This remarkable series not only added to Oregon’s marketing perception around the world, it also provided 300 jobs on a year-to-year basis and directly spend almost $300M in the state. The Oregon Film Museum’s TNT (Thursday Night Talks) lecture series continues March 16th, 2017 with a presentation by Propmaster Tim Oakley of Portland-based Oakley Design Studios. Tim designs and creates props for feature films, television shows and commercial shoots. His work has appeared in over 100 motion pictures, including Dark Knight Rises, Jurassic World, Indiana Jones 4, and all of the Star Trek franchises. Grimm” has made Portland home for 7 years, hired around 1,000 people (80 percent of the crew have been local, and about 250 full time crew), spent a little over $55 million each year, and has helped many vendors and support businesses expand in equipment and employees, as well as showcase Portland’s varied locations.  The show leaves behind a honed, skilled crew, and world class vendors and services. “Grimm” Gala Raises Over $800K For Doernbecher’s At Final Gala

Over the weekend, “Grimm”  NBCUniversal, Comcast, and Nike brought together cast, crew and attendees for the final time, to raise money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation.  Within 3 hours, over $800,000 was raised from the gala’s auction of unique items, and props, from the show that has called Portland their home for 7 years and 6 seasons.

“The Librarians” Are Coming Back For Season 4

TNT and Electric Entertainment are bringing “The Librarians” back for another season – the 4th in Oregon!  The show stars; Rebecca Romijin, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Kim, John Larroquette, and series veteran,  Noah Wyle and produced with executive producers Dean DevlinMarc Roskin, and Wyle.

Tomorrow night sees “Grimm“‘s last season premiere – we will all be sad to say goodbye to the show’s quirky and murky portrayal of Portland’s fictitious underbelly, the real city locations, the Wesen, the Police precinct, and the many character actors and stars alike.  Six seasons, seven years in the making, and well over 100 episodes later, “Grimm” is set to come to an end, but it leaves behind a healthy and successful legacy of collaboration between the city, NBC, the many crew members, special effects houses, extras,  and literally hundreds of local services and vendors.
