OMPA Annual Meeting: Live stream 7pm Tuesday

Oregon Media Production Association celebrates achievements of commercial, film, TV and interactive media production in Oregon at their annual meeting on Tuesday night. The meeting will be streamed live beginning at 7pm PST and running for one hour. The streaming link can be found on www.ompa.org or by searching Livestream.com.

Hinge Digital’s All-CG Spot for Renault

What car powers through all seasons?  The Mégane by Renault, perfectly envisioned using full CG and VFX – no live action shoot needed.

In collaboration with directing team Andrew Nawrot and Sonja Jasansky, the Hinge creative team developed this all-CG spot for the Renault Mégane in just under two weeks. The spot features dramatic lighting as well as naturalistic visual effects of water, smoke and haze.

“Little Leaks” a Big Deal for Local Animation Company

CMD and Hinge Digital teamed up to deliver a fun, informative and engaging campaign for NW Natural. “Little Leaks” was conceived as a collaboration between CMD and the Hinge creative team. Hinge created four unique 3D egg characters. The eggs are lighthearted and fun visual storytellers in a spot that educates viewers on how to recognize and react to a gas leak. “Back O’Er Oregon” – A Musician’s Journey through Oregon’s State Parks

 Musician Slater Smith Embarks on a Quest to Visit all of Oregon’s State Parks While Shooting His Music Video

Slater Smith, frontman for the band The Weather Machine, began his quest to visit every state park in Oregon over the summer while shooting his music video for the band’s song “Back O’Er Oregon”.  The video will be a cinematic homage to Oregon’s beautiful and diverse state parks.  While planning this project Slater connected with Oregon’s Governor’s Office of Film and Television (Oregon Film) and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, and explored how to expand the project beyond just the music video. AIFF Hosts Successful eMerge Transmedia Showcase

This past weekend the 2013 Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF) hosted its first eMerge Tansmedia Showcase (sponsored by Oregon Film, Intel, SOU, Project A, Second Story, PIE, and Technology Association of Oregon).  In simplest terms, it was an opportunity for festival goers to discuss, experience and participate in the future of storytelling.  As technology continues to evolve, the ways in which stories can be told are evolving with it.  The lines between technology, film, photography, music, performance art, graphic arts, and gaming are becoming less and less visible.  Continue reading... “AIFF Hosts Successful eMerge Transmedia Showcase”
