Oregon Filmmaker’s Project 17,000 Dollars away with 10 Days to Go

“A high school graduate takes a summer job with his art teacher selling pottery at the local Renaissance Faire and ultimately discovers his passion for life.”

That’s really what we’re all looking for when we leave high school behind and venture out from the safety of the nest into the fast stream of society and that is the subject filmmaker Teo Guardino is tackling in his newest film outing “Play Faire.”  Unfortunately, his IndieGoGo campaign is winding down to its last 10 days and he’s 17,000 away from his goal. Whether you are an experienced filmmaker or just waiting to make a splash, now is the time to dive in. FUNDAMENTAL & INTENSIVE SCREENWRITING, DIGITAL EDITING, and SOUND DESIGN & EDITING are only a few of the alluring spring classes at the Film Center.

 

DIGITAL EDITING I examines the various styles and techniques of editing using Avid Media Composer. Students will organize footage, add sound effects, and give a voice to their projects. 3D Artist Scott Robertson Presenting Modo+Mari – April 18th!

3DPDX, VFX/PDX and PAMUG present an evening with concept artist Scott Robertson.  Scott is renowned for his product design work and contribution to films such as Minority Report.  He’ll be coming up to show us his recent work and demo the power of The Foundry’s Modo and Mari 3D software.

Food + drink will be provided and a raffle with some great prizes is also on tap.  Come hungry!
