PIGSquad and Patreon have joined forces to host an evening of locally-made games and art!

Games will be open for everyone to play, and we invite artists to come draw fan art of the games on display. All artists (or non-artists!) are welcome to make game-inspired art. Along with the 20 local indie games, we’ll have Virtual Reality stations, including Tilt Brush!

Productions Give Back with Film Shadow Program

As we bid farewell to “Grimm” and welcome both “The Librarians” and “Portlandia” back for their next seasons this coming Spring and Summer – we wanted to share a very special program we were able to put together last summer with the help of the producers of these shows, Open Signal, the City of Portland and NBC/Universal.

I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore“, Macon Blair‘s directorial debut and produced by Oregonian, Neil Kopp, were honored with Sundance‘s top award, the Grand Jury prize in the US Dramatic Competition over the week end.

Macon Blair has a history in Oregon, as he starred-in, and co-produced, also with, Neil Kopp, another #OregonMade project, “Green Room“.  “I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore”, shot in Oregon last spring. “Grimm” Gala Raises Over $800K For Doernbecher’s At Final Gala

Over the weekend, “Grimm”  NBCUniversal, Comcast, and Nike brought together cast, crew and attendees for the final time, to raise money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation.  Within 3 hours, over $800,000 was raised from the gala’s auction of unique items, and props, from the show that has called Portland their home for 7 years and 6 seasons.

ShadowMachine’s “BoJack Horseman” Gathers Accolades

Netflix’s original animated series, “BoJack Horseman” , (its 4th season, coming this summer)  created by ShadowMachine, has been gathering some accolades.  Nominated this year for an Annie Award for Best General Audience Animated TV/Broadcast Production and Outstanding Achievement in Voice Acting in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production(announced next month) and recently won the Critic’s Choice Award for Best Animated Series (as well as nominations for 2016 Annie and WGA Awards.0

Besetment”, an indie-produced feature film from Barbed Wire Films, will have it’s first public premiere on Sunday October 30th at the Volcanic Theater Pub in Bend, OR at 6pm.

Filmed in Mitchell, Prineville, Ashland, and Bend, OR, the film tells the tale of Amanda Millard, a down-on-her-luck girl, desperate to find a job.  When she gets a call from the Oregon Hotel in Mitchell, things start to look up. Mildred Colvin, the owner of the Oregon Hotel is a kind lady, and her live-in son and local mechanic Billy, though a little slow, seems quite taken with Amanda.
