Southern Oregon’s 2020 Killer Valley Horror Film Festival (KVHFF) celebrates it’s lucky #13 this year, but for the first time ever, it will not be hosted live. In previous years this festival celebrated independent filmmakers with in-person screenings, filmmaker meet-and-greets, and an awards ceremony in Ashland, OR.
Returning to Ashland, OR for it’s 8th installment, the Killer Valley Horror Film Festival (KVHFF) is a celebration of independent horror and science fiction movies from around the globe. A one-night affair, geared to film-goers 18 years and older, the festival showcases genres that are arguably the most fun for independent filmmakers to create, and provides an atmosphere for horror fans to watch in a more social environment than a typical theater setting. Audiences often dress in costume, and the festival offers Special FX Makeup Booths in case viewers want to feel like a zombie for the night. “Besetment”, an indie-produced feature film from Barbed Wire Films, will have it’s first public premiere on Sunday October 30th at the Volcanic Theater Pub in Bend, OR at 6pm.
Filmed in Mitchell, Prineville, Ashland, and Bend, OR, the film tells the tale of Amanda Millard, a down-on-her-luck girl, desperate to find a job. When she gets a call from the Oregon Hotel in Mitchell, things start to look up. Mildred Colvin, the owner of the Oregon Hotel is a kind lady, and her live-in son and local mechanic Billy, though a little slow, seems quite taken with Amanda. One Night Only (May 26th) Limited Screening of New Thriller COMPOUND FRACTURE with Actor/Producer Tyler Mane (Sabretooth, Michael Myers) in Attendance.
Tyler Mane will personally screen his new film, Compound Fracture, May 26th in Portland, OR at the Hollywood Theatre. This will be one of the“one night only” stops on the Limited Meet & Greet Screening tour in the U.S. and Canada.
Mane, known primarily for his acting career (his credits include, Michael Meyers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween & Halloween II, Troy, The Scorpion King, Joe Dirt, X-Men), co-wrote, produced and co-stars in this new supernatural thriller.
Giving birth to a widely-hailed western fantasy like the Oregon-produced web series Animus Crossis a massive undertaking that could easily be derailed – especially when a birth of a different sort occurs!
