Tara Johnson-Medinger is an American film director, producer and champion of gender equality in the entertainment industry. WORKING LUNCH Short Film by Shilpa Sunthankar to have Portland Premiere

Portland, Oregon – December 3, 2018 – The much anticipated short film, WORKING LUNCH, by Portland-based Director and Producer, Shilpa Sunthankar, is set to have the Portland Premiere on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at The Whitsell Auditorium. Director Shilpa Sunthankar will be in attendance.The film previously had a successful world premiere at the 19th Annual Filmi: Toronto’s South Asian Film Festival and was selected as part of the 2018 Fall Screening Series by New Filmmakers, New York.

Filmmaker Beth Harrington Announces New Project – The Musicianer

 

On the heels of her successful music documentary, The Winding Stream – The Carters, the Cashes and the Course of Country Music, filmmaker Beth Harrington is pleased to announce that she and her team are in pre-production on a new project. The Musicianer will be a music-based narrative digital series that builds on the research done on old-time music during the making of the The Winding Stream, and takes the subject matter in new and surprising directions.

The food at Camp Blue Spruce is free of the foods that cause more than 90% of allergic reactions, including dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, gluten and sesame.

SOAR, a new documentary featuring local dancers Kiera Brinkley and Uriah Boyd and directed by local filmmaker Susan Hess Logeais, will premiere on Thursday, October 22 at 7:30 pm.  The screening will take place at the Hollywood Theatre (4122 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland), and will feature a Q&A with the director Susan Hess Logeais as well as co-producers Kiera Brinkley and Uriah Boyd. Portland, Oregon – Lawrence (Larry) Johnson, known for award-winning documentary films STUFF and HAND GAME, has told many stories through his films, but has been haunted for over 40 years by his own: When he was in the Army in Saigon in the 1970s, he fell in love with a Vietnamese woman named Candy, and when they split at the end of the war, she may have been pregnant with his child.
