Argot Pictures and Indie filmmaker Beth Harrington are pleased to announce that her latest music documentary film, The Winding Stream – The Carters, The Cashes and the Course of Country Music, will begin its theatrical release in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, September 17th at the historic Hollywood Theatre. The screening will include a Q&A with director/producer Beth Harrington and a special pre-show performance by the Johnny Cash tribute band—Counterfeit Cash. The Winding Stream – Last Big Push!

The Winding Stream, an epic documentary film about the dynasty at the heart of American roots music is nearing completion, but needs finishing funds to get there. The film tells the story of the musical Carter and Cash Family and features interviews and performances by many Americana artists, including Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash, George Jones, Sheryl Crow, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, the Carolina Chocolate Drops and others.
