The Gem Theatre renovation in Northeast Oregon is nearing completion and is about to commence a Kickstarter campaign aimed at finishing up. We are new to this form of fundraising and would like to connect with any other Oregon theatres/arts organizations with successful Kickstarter experience. Chuck Peters, a small town filmmaker and LEGO stop-motion animator has launched his Kickstarter campaign for his latest project Hak and Gnasher. The campaign’s aim is to raise $1350.00 for acquiring the necessary LEGO bricks, animation software, and a DSLR camera to allow him to produce his web series Hak and Gnasher in house. The campaign is over half over, with only 25 days left, and he has raised 67% of the goal so far.

The Winding Stream, an epic documentary film about the dynasty at the heart of American roots music is nearing completion, but needs finishing funds to get there. The film tells the story of the musical Carter and Cash Family and features interviews and performances by many Americana artists, including Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash, George Jones, Sheryl Crow, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, the Carolina Chocolate Drops and others.
