Juliana HIRES-102Juliana Lukasik, producer, director, and owner of @Large Films has been appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber to serve on the Governor’s Office of Film and Television board.  Juliana’s term will begin on March 1, 2014.

When Perry sent me an email letting me know that he had purchased a jet airliner mock up I knew I had to go check it out.  While one or two options for filming in an airliner exist, none present an option that is logistically straight forward and simple.  Shooting inside a real plane is of course the most realistic but the process is complex.  Everything, including all crew and equipment, must pass through security and the crew is matched up with TSA agents inside and outside on the tarmac. OMPA Annual Meeting: Live stream 7pm Tuesday

Oregon Media Production Association celebrates achievements of commercial, film, TV and interactive media production in Oregon at their annual meeting on Tuesday night. The meeting will be streamed live beginning at 7pm PST and running for one hour. The streaming link can be found on www.ompa.org or by searching Livestream.com.

“Wild” Has Been Attracting Public Interest As Well As Local And National Press

Top Actors Receive Superfine Awards

Oregon’s industry members present awards for excellence in craft and community building

Hundreds of actors, agents, casting directors and industry supporters, including Senate President Pro Tempore Ginny Burdick and AFL-CIO President Tom Chamberlain were on hand to celebrate the depth, breadth and professional skills of Oregon’s on-screen acting industry at Oregon’s Got Talent in Portland last Saturday.  The Oregon film and television industry event included an actor’s expo, workshops and awards show

DIVA Presents – Open Lens Short Film Competition

(Eugene, OR.) Eugene’s Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts (DIVA) announces its tenth annual OpenLens Short Film Competition. This event provides an opportunity for Oregon resident filmmakers to showcase their short films of 15 minutes or less in a competitive event. The festival screening and awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 1st. “SHIVER” NOW SET FOR PORTLAND PREMIERE FOR SEPTEMBER 20th

“SHIVER” is now set for a one week run at the Living Room Theatre in Portland, OR commencing on  September 20th. There will be a Special Event Premiere of the film at the theatre on September 19th.

iOS Series ‘Phrenic’ Launches Version 2.0

The first-of-its-kind iOS app Phrenic has launched version 2.0 with a new episode, short story, and now uses Theatrics to allow anyone to become part of the story by creating their own character and submitting a video that will show up in the app and online. The new design also makes it easier to jump between the mobile games, episodes, and stories that all take place in Phrenic’s world of insanity, cloning, and murder.
