Juliana Lukasik, producer, director, and owner of @Large Films has been appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber to serve on the Governor’s Office of Film and Television board. Juliana’s term will begin on March 1, 2014.
“I am pleased that Juliana has agreed to serve on the Office of Film and Television board” said Governor John Kitzhaber. “With her broad experience in the film industry – along with her long-standing commitment to her community – I am confident that Juliana will be a great asset as we continue to grow this important industry”.
“I am excited and honored by the appointment” said Juliana. “I have a lot of history both on crews and as a business owner in Oregon. I hope to add a unique perspective to the group”.
In a film career that has spanned more years than she is willing to admit, Juliana has produced projects that have won Emmy, Addy, and Telly Awards. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day management of @Large Films and the company’s business development, she is national commercial director for clients including Nintendo of America and Banfield Pet Hospital. She is an outspoken advocate for Girls, Inc. and is the current past president of the Central Eastside Industrial Council, an established business association in Portland, Oregon. Juliana has also served as president of the Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA).
Juliana’s many accomplishments, coupled with her dedication to supporting women in the production industry, has earned @Large Films the distinction of being one of the top woman-owned businesses in Portland. And in 2013 she was named Woman Executive of the Year, Small/Medium Company by the Portland Business Journal.
Juliana will be assuming the board position that previously was occupied by Ed Asner who after seven years will be concluding his service on the board.
