Indigenous Media Guild Launches Website

The Indigenous Media Guild has launched a new site supporting its members along side strengthening its social media presence.  Oregon welcomes this new resource and encourages producers and creatives to check out their listings to find your next crew.

The new site is IndigenousMediaGuild.org and you cam find them @IndigenousMediaGuild on IG and FB.

Spirit of Halloweentown Festival Voted In Top 16 Best Halloween Events In The US

It is gratifying to see the travel discovery platform, TripsToDiscover, name St. Helens’ own Spirit of Halloweentown Festival one of the “16 Best Halloween Events in the US” – not bad for a festival in a small town of 14,000. So how did this all begin? According to the Festival website, “in 1998 the small city of St. Helens served as a backdrop to the Disney Channel Halloween classic “Halloweentown”, and each year thereafter they transform their Riverfront District into the Spirit of Halloweentown, a celebration of all things spooky. PassinArt Theatre is having their second biennial Pacific Northwest Multicultural Readers Series & Film Festival Thursday – Sunday, August 17-20, 2023 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

My name is Mark Shapiro and I’m the co-director/producer of DOWNWIND, a new documentary that exposes the US Government’s 928 nuclear detonations from 1951-1992 at the Nevada Test Site near Las Vegas and the impact of radioactive fallout on countless communities — and the environment.

Portland’s Kurt Rosenberg Brings “The Moon Followed Me to Falmouth” To Oregon Short Film Festival

The Moon Followed Me to Falmouth” will have its  US in-person premiere on Feb. 26th at the Oregon Short Film Festival at the Clinton Street Theater.

The musical short film was Executive Produced by Portland-based composer and filmmaker Kurt Rosenberg, based on his song of the same name. It was brought to life with stunning animation by Joël Gibbs of ARMADA studio.
