Happy Holidays from Limbo Films!

My what a busy year 2012 turned out to be! We produced spots for Mead Notebooks, Ikea, Intel, Kent State University, Cadet Heating, Leatherman Tools, and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Once the creatives at New York agency Ryan Partners gave Limbo Films the green light on a national spot for Five Star/Mead Notebooks our first task was setting the excellent trainers from Boones Animals in Hollywood to work. For 2 weeks prior to our Santa Monica based shoot they trained 4 hero and 4 back-up pooches to do the tricks required by the script and all their work paid off. “Why I Love Tryon Creek” Video Contest – Submissions Accepted through October 31st, 2012

The Friends of Tryon Creek are holding a video contest on the theme “Why I Love Tryon Creek State Natural Area” to promote Tryon Creek and the importance of connecting to the natural world. The contest is open to the public and a prize package valued at $370 featuring items from contest sponsors Columbia Sportswear, REI, Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, and Voodoo Doughnut will be awarded to the winner.

Portlandia receives 2 Emmy Nods, Weiden + Kennedy receives 3

Funnelbox listed in Portland Business Journal’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies

Superbowl Ads Once Again Have an Oregon Connection

MoPix – Setting out to Create a Post-DVD Experience – Demos at PIE Demo Day

This past year Portland Headquartered Ad Agency Weiden + Kennedy had a realization.  They needed to be better connected to innovative tech startups.  So what did they do?  They freed up some office space and started their own startup incubator called the Portland Incubator Experiment.  With the help of several brands including Coca-Cola, Target, and Google, W+K invited entrepreneurs to apply for a three month stay along with $18,000 and access to some top mentors in the startup world.  Today at Portland’s Bagdad Theater, the first round of companies will present their ideas and products to potential investors, media, and the public.
