Film/TV Production Industry Celebrates Legislative Success Friday

Oregon’s film and television production Industry prepares for expansion thanks to 67% increase in funds designed to recruit projects to Oregon – but first, a party with performance from Oregon blues legend Curtis Salgado.

“C.O.G.”, Filmed in Hood River, OR, Gains Distribution

“C.O.G”, written and directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez and based on a David Sedaris autobiographical essay, was filmed in Hood River and the Portland Metro Area.  “C.O.G” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and has just gained distribution through Screen Media and Focus Features’ alt-distribution label Focus World. They have plans to release the movie in theaters later this year.

“House of Last Things” to Premiere at “20th International Festival du Film Fantastique de Gerardmer”

MICHAEL BARTLETT’s Oregon made “House of Last Things” has been selected to premiere in competition in France January 30 – February 4th at the “20th International Festival du film fantastique de Gérardmer”. One of nine films selected for competition, the films in competition include Barry Levinson’s “The Bay,” and from Spain, “Mama”.

Cast includes Lindsey Haun (TRUE BLOOD), Blake Berris (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and RJ MITTE (BREAKING BAD) in his first feature film role.

Ashland Independent Film Festival announces eMerge Transmedia Showcase for the 2013 Festival

Hallmark and Bent Image Lab’s Halloween Comedy: “hoops&yoyo’s Haunted Halloween”

Airing this Friday, October 26, 2012 7pm/6pm central on Hallmark Channel …

Bent Image Lab and Hallmark have joined forces once again this time to produce the 2D animated comedy “hoops&yoyo’s Haunted Halloween”. Based off of the popular Hallmark e- card characters, the “hoops&yoyo” TV Special was directed by Bent’s Rob Shaw and features the hilarious pink cat and green bunny getting trapped in a haunted mall on Halloween night.
