Congrats to HOUSE OF LAST THINGS on their first international release today in Russia through CMS FILM. The Bartlett directed thriller was one of Oregon’s first independent features to recieve an i-OPIF grant. The film premiered in France in January and has since been selected for festivals in Brazil, Germany, and Mexico. The Russian package includes theatrical, dvd, and online
MICHAEL BARTLETT’s Oregon made “House of Last Things” has been selected to premiere in competition in France January 30 – February 4th at the “20th International Festival du film fantastique de Gérardmer”. One of nine films selected for competition, the films in competition include Barry Levinson’s “The Bay,” and from Spain, “Mama”.
Cast includes Lindsey Haun (TRUE BLOOD), Blake Berris (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and RJ MITTE (BREAKING BAD) in his first feature film role.
August 28, 2012— Double Dutch International announced today that it has acquired the worldwide rights to the psychological thriller House of Last Things. The film– written, directed and produced in Portland,Oregon by Michael Bartlett– stars RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Lindsey Haun (True Blood) and Blake Berris (Days of our Lives). Cinematographer is Ken Kelsch (Bad Lieutenant, Big Night, Desert Flower). The world premiere festival has yet to be set.
“This is a film that grabs you and takes you through some exciting twists and turns,” said Jason Möring, President of Double Dutch.
In the last few weeks there have been a number of projects that have applied for the Indigenous Oregon Production Investment Program (iOPIF), and now all the available funds have been fully committed. In total 13 projects have been qualified for the program and projects have been produced or are set to be produced in the Portland area, Central Oregon and Ashland. RJ Mitte who plays the son in the AMC series “Breaking Bad” appeared on KATU’s AM Northwest yesterday morning. Here’s the link to the piece. RJ is in town filming “House of Last Things” which is being directed by Michael Bartlett. “House of Last Things” was the third film to apply for the new iOPIF program.
