Polluted Pictures teams up with Vitamin M to produce “Deep Dark.”

PORTLAND, Oregon (April 12, 2013) After taking the feature film “Cell Count” to film festivals all over the world in 2012 and seeing the film through to distribution, it is now Polluted Pictures profound pleasure to announce they will co-produce the feature film “Deep Dark” together with Vitamin M in the Summer ’13.

“Deep Dark” is the story of a failed sculptor who discovers a strange talking hole in the wall. The hole has the power to fulfill his wildest dreams or it might just become his worst nightmare.

The Summer Roy Dean Film grant gives $1000.00 in cash and about $30,000.00 in goods and services from top industry companies. We want films that are unique and make a contribution to society. If your film fits, please consider entering.

EOFF provides a quality of life component to our valley that is essential in attracting visitors, professionals, and businesses to the Grande Ronde Valley– in addition to stoking community passion for arts and culture. The band of volunteers that have worked tirelessly to bring this exciting, educational, and dynamic weekend of independent film and music have already rolled up their sleeves in preparation for a landmark 5th year event to be held February 20-22, 2014.

AIFF Hosts Successful eMerge Transmedia Showcase

This past weekend the 2013 Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF) hosted its first eMerge Tansmedia Showcase (sponsored by Oregon Film, Intel, SOU, Project A, Second Story, PIE, and Technology Association of Oregon). In simplest terms, it was an opportunity for festival goers to discuss, experience and participate in the future of storytelling. As technology continues to evolve, the ways in which stories can be told are evolving with it. The lines between technology, film, photography, music, performance art, graphic arts, and gaming are becoming less and less visible.

Sheepscot Creative, Sokoloff Creative and Travel Oregon premiere new video

Two local agencies team up with Travel Oregon to produce a new video promoting tourism. Dave Weich of Sheepscot Creative and Kate Sokoloff of Sokoloff Creative, in conjunction with the Travel Oregon team, offered their creative services to this project that focuses on Governor John Kitzhaber’s own personal memories of growing up in the state. Amidst stunning footage of Oregon’s scenic landscape are photos from the Governor’s personal photo album. These images of him as a young boy fishing and camping illustrate his connection with Oregon’s rural pristine places and the benefits of travel.

Oregon Film, PIE, and Intel Partner to Form Oregon Story Board – Hack With TrackTown USA is First Project

Program to embrace growing digital storytelling cluster, accelerate new projects

PORTLAND, Ore — DATE — The Oregon Governor’s Office of Film and Television and PIE (Portland Incubator Experiment) have partnered to launch Oregon Story Board, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education, support, and promotion of digital media production throughout Oregon. Intel Corporation has committed to the program as the first corporate sponsor. Oregon Story Board has also teamed with Eugene based TrackTown USA for its first project – the “Hack at Hayward”.

Cast Iron Studios will host “Acting Like a Pro – Parents’ Boot Camp” on April 5 at U of O Portland Extension

PORTLAND, ORE. In conjunction with its upcoming master series of workshops featuring prominent L.A. and NY casting directors, Cast Iron Studios will be hosting its first ever “boot camp” aimed exclusively at parents of aspiring child actors.

On Friday, April 5, 2013, Casting Directors Lana Veenker and Eryn Goodman of Portland’s Cast Iron Studios (Grimm, Leverage, Twilight) will welcome Los Angeles Kids’ Casting Director Christine Scowley (How to Rock, Movie Surfers, Smash Cuts, Rock the Cradle) to the University of Oregon White Stag Block in Portland’s Old Town for a lively panel discussion and Q&A.
