This Sept. 22nd, when attending the #OregonMade film event, pay close attention to the implicit biases that show up in this film. Bridges to Change is hosting its 3rd annual PDX Recovery Film Festival on October 1st at Revolution Hall in Portland, OR! This annual event showcases winning short films submitted from across the United States and United Kingdom to promote awareness of addictions, mental health issues and homelessness in a creative and impactful way. OregonLive Details Popular Oregon Film Trail And Economic Benefits Of Set-Jetting

Today, Kristi Turnquist (OregonLive) shone a light and some insight on “set-jetting” (film tourism) in Oregon with two pieces; one on the popularity of the Oregon Film Trail, and the other highlighting the important economic benefits of film tourism for the state.

Last year, Expedia announced that its research showed that set-jetting would be an increasing trend to watch in 2023 and confirmed that “streamed movies and TV shows are now the top sources of travel inspiration (40%), outpacing the influence of social media (31%). Paramount + Announce Start Of Production In Portland On “Little Wing”

Paramount+ today announced the start of production and cast for the service’s latest original coming-of-age film, “Little Wing”, from Awesomeness and inspired by the New Yorker article of the same name by Susan Orlean. The film starts production this month in Portland. Brian Cox (“Succession”), Kelly Reilly (“Here,” “A Haunting in Venice”), Brooklynn Prince (“Cocaine Bear,” “The Florida Project”) and Che Tafari (“Me Time”) star. New Sci-Fi Short “The Winemaker” Will Draw Inspiration From The Oregon Female Winemaking Community

A new sci-fi proof-of-concept film, drawing on inspiration from the natural winemaking community in Oregon–and especially its female champions–is in pre-production. THE WINEMAKER is about Joanie, who harbors a cosmic secret, but must finish the year’s vintage before her enemies come for vengeance.

The project is now crowdfunding on Seed & Spark. Having made its initial goal in only 17 days (with help from producers Andy Gould and Jon “Shabba” Linton), the project is now raising funds for post-production.
