In 2003, 18-year-old Mount Hood Community College freshman Ben Cramer—described by those who knew him as soft-spoken and “extraordinarily ordinary”—was sentenced to life for the grisly murder of his friend, Cassondra Brown. Birds of Neptune, written and directed by Steven Richter (Center of Gravity, Myth of Drowning), is an independent feature film set in Portland, OR, produced by Reverie PDX and Lara Cuddy (The Weather Outside, Cell Count), and scheduled for release in fall 2013.

 

Birds of Neptune follows a short period of time in the young lives of two orphaned sisters who refuse to move on from their complicated, tragic past into their adult lives. “House of Last Things” to Premiere at “20th International Festival du Film Fantastique de Gerardmer”

MICHAEL BARTLETT’s Oregon made “House of Last Things” has been selected to premiere in competition in France January 30 – February 4th at the “20th International Festival du film fantastique de Gérardmer”. One of nine films selected for competition, the films in competition include Barry Levinson’s “The Bay,” and from Spain, “Mama”.

Cast includes Lindsey Haun (TRUE BLOOD), Blake Berris (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and RJ MITTE (BREAKING BAD) in his first feature film role.

Second Story Interactive Studios Receives Innovation In Media Arts Award

In Oregon we are blessed to have people who know how to tell stories.  Storytelling has always been a part of Oregon’s DNA.  We have great novelists, great song-writers, and great filmmakers.  We also have great innovative storytellers.  One such group of innovative storytellers is Second Story Interactive Studios.  Founded in 1994 by Julie Beeler and Brad Johnson, Second Story is thought of as one of the leaders in the interactive industry, collecting over 400 awards and accolades.

Oregon Film Office Says Thanks To “Leverage” For Four Great Seasons Shooting In Portland By Donating Neighborhood Trees

The Oregon Film & Television Office thanked Leverage for four great seasons shooting in the Portland Metro area by donating four trees to be planted in metro neighborhoods through the  Friends Of Trees non-profit program.  Leverage’s Producer, Dean Devlin,  was presented with a certificate noting the dates and neighborhoods the trees will be planted by Senator Ginny Burdick (and, naturally, the certificate was printed on 100% recycled, FSC certified paper).  Continue reading... “Oregon Film Office Says Thanks To “Leverage” For Four Great Seasons Shooting In Portland By Donating Neighborhood Trees”
