MovieMaker Magazine’s Fall 2014 issue hit newsstands around the U.S. and Canada this week. It presents MovieMaker’s annual list of the 25 best cinematic celebrations in the world, as selected by people like critic Elvis Mitchell, Emily Best of film site Seed & Spark, Thom Powers from the Toronto International Film Festival and the Sundance Doc Club, Dennis Dembia of Rogers & Cowan,  Josephine Decker from Filmmaker magazine, and Karla Rodrigeuz with Alamo Draft House.

Road’s End Films Releases the Newest “Runestone” Trailer

Local production company Road’s End Films releases the newest trailer for RUNESTONE, a television series pitch headed to NATPE in January 2015.

RUNESTONE, a historically inspired dramatic adventure series, stars Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), Frank Collison (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman), and Conan Stevens (The Hobbit). Portland’s Uncage The Soul Video Production Produces Spectactular “Requiem of Ice”

Local to Portland, Uncage The Soul Video Production have unveiled their “Requiem of Ice” – an incredible journey into the Sandy Glacier Cave System on Mount Hood.  The project took a year to complete, documenting the largest glacier cave system in the lower 48.

Uncage The Soul has also produced “The Oregon Coast: A Winter Odessy”

41st Northwest Filmmaker’s Festival Kicks Off November 7th

“The Northwest’s premiere showcase of new work by regional filmmakers, the Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival—for 38 years called the Northwest Film & Video Festival—brings artists and audiences together for a singular community celebration. Each year the Festival draws more than 400 entries from filmmakers in Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, presenting to the public carefully selected programs of outstanding work and awarding critical recognition to top juror- and audience-recognized films.
