Oscilloscope Labs Release New Trailer – “Sometimes I Think About Dying”

Oscilloscope Labs released the official trailer for the #oregonamde indie film, “Sometimes I Think About Dying” and announced its release date, on January 26, 2024. The feature was produced by, and stars, Daisy Ridley (Star Wars prequel trilogy) and first premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. Set in Oregon, it cast features Ridley, Dave Merheje, Parvesh Cheena, Marcia DeBonis, and Bree Elrod. “Sometimes I Think About Dying“ is “an unexpected fable on the virtues of living.”

Daisy Ridley, (Star Wars prequel trilogy) recently shared her thoughts on the movie “Sometimes I Think About Dying” and her experiences filming in Oregon. Ridley portrays Frances, a young woman dealing with anxiety and despair, in this thought-provoking movie that recently premiered in competition at Sundance. During the filming, Ridley spent time in Astoria and on the Oregon Coast, and she had nothing but good things to say about these locations.

What has Oregon Film been up to? – After assuring our industry worked so well through the turbulent pandemic period with several projects of all sizes, 2022 started off with a slow down. Needless to say, Oregon is still attractive and a great place to bring your creative production. Recently we worked with the state legislature and partners like the OMPA and the IATSE and SAG-AFTRA unions to increase the film and media cash rebate percentages from 18% to 25%. A new Oregon Film Trail sign will be unveiled in Depoe Bay (4 PM, Thursday, December 19^th^, 2019). The sign honors the town harbor’s starring role as a location in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. The Depoe Bay Chamber is hosting an unveiling of the newest sign on the Oregon Film Trail in the World’s Smallest Harbor – between dock 1 and 2. A reception will follow at Dockside Charters harbor location. This sign marks an important filming location related to the classic feature film, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and features a few facts and anecdotes about the film as well as a reference to two other films shot close by (The Burning Plain and Sometimes A Great Notion).. #OregonMade Film Festival at the Bijou Cinema in Lincoln City in October

From October 25 through 31, the Bijou will celebrate films made in the Beaver State via its Oregon Made Film Festival, made possible through a grant from Explore Lincoln City. In support of the city’s goal of showing visitors that Lincoln City can be just as entertaining in the fall as in the summer – though possibly less congested along Highway 101 – owners Keith & Betsy Altomare have scheduled an impressive lineup.
