MORE FILM FESTIVALS FOR “CELL COUNT”

Feature film Cell Count has UK Premiere at Celluloid Screams and Canadian Premiere at the Montreal HorrorFest as a part of the Montreal Comic Con.

PORTLAND, Oregon (August 8, 2012) The feature film “Cell Count” premiered on May 20th at the Fantaspoa Fantastic Film Festival and is now an Official Selection of this year’s Celluloid Screams Film Festival in the UK as well as the Montreal HorrorFest in Canada.

Celluloid Screams: Sheffield Horror Film Festival, October 26-28, is a three-day celebration of the best in classic and contemporary horror cinema.

The Free Box gets a facelift.

I finally completed the process of uploading ALL the Free Box episodes to Vimeo presenting them in the highest quality available for the first time on the net. The Free Box is a web series I directed 27 episodes for 3 years in Portland producing it with borrowed equipment and foodstamps. The original Portlandia! ParaNorman Gearing up for August Premiere

We are getting closer and closer to ParaNorman’s August 17th premiere, and there are all kinds of exciting things going on around the country and around the net as the anticipation builds. This is a brief run-down of some of the things going on in the next two weeks.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Todd Haynes donates autographed portrait to benefit The Right Brain Initiative

Nationally renowned filmmaker Todd Haynes is the subject of a one-of-a-kind portrait that posted today on eBay. This ten-day auction supports a good cause: Haynes donated the giclee print to benefit The Right Brain Initiative’s arts education programming in Portland, Oregon area schools. The print is signed by both Haynes and the portrait’s artist, Steve Cohn. Cohn is brother-in-law to Haynes, and works under the pseudonym Jasper Marks.

It’s been a busy summer for us interns at Oregon Film compared to what most people our age are doing right now: swimming, camping, and vacationing in general. As much as we’d like to take time off and just relax or sleep the summer away, we’ve been filming videos all summer long, working hard to show the people of Oregon, and the legislature, how the film industry has quietly and stealthily been successful both in-front of and behind the cameras.

Cell Count Portland Premiere

Oregon made Sci-Fi Thriller Cell Count to be released in Portland on November 2nd.

(Portland, OR – July 31, 2012) Living Room Theaters will be showing the sci-fi horror film festival favorite, Cell Count from Portland filmmaker Todd E. Freeman.

The film, which had its world premiere at the 2012 Fantaspoa Film Festival in Brazil, is the story of Russell Carpenter, a man who reluctantly admits his wife Sadie into an experimental treatment facility for her life-threatening disease. While locked in this prison-like surrounding, they along with 6 others are unknowingly subjected to a cure that might just be worse than the disease itself.

2nd OPIF Tax Credit Auction to Happen September 17-19

In July with the cooperation of Oregon’s Department of Revenue we conducted our first ever auction for the Oregon Production Investment Fund tax credits. By the time the auction was completed we had more bids for the tax credits than what was available. The second stage of the auction required those who submitted a bid to turn in a cashier’s check or money order no later than July 20. Now that DOR has collected all the money, we have determined that there are still credits available.

FILMBUFF TAKES ON “CELL COUNT”

Sci-Fi Thriller to be released on digital platforms November, 2012

(New York, NY – July 27, 2012) FilmBuff has come onboard to digitally distribute the sci-fi horror film festival favorite, Cell Count from filmmaker Todd E. Oregon Filmmaker and EOFF co-founder Ian Clark named in Filmmakers’s ’25’

Eastern Oregon Film Festival’s co-founder and programming co-director Ian Clark was recently included as one of Filmmaker Magazine’s ’25 New Faces in Independent Film’. Ian’s recent films ‘Country Story’ (EOFF 2011 Primiere) and soon to be released short film “Searching for Yellow” have garnered attention for the works’ subtle narratives and intimate photography.

“Cinema is another medium just like painting,” says Clark, who is now doing an MFA in digital art at University of Oregon in Eugene.
