Recently, we announced that our debut film, Nightscape will be showing at the Montreal Comiccon Horrorfest. Nightscape was one of 15 films selected by the festival as part of its initial feature film lineup. The festival, which runs from September 14th through the 16th in Montreal, Quebec, will showcase a total of 30 features from around the globe.

Nightscape is about an emotionally-guarded drifter who crosses paths with a phantom car responsible for a wave of supernatural violence. Independent Feature, “The A-List” Wraps

We stopped by the set last week on the penultimate day of shooting for “The A-List“, an independent comedy feature  about a high school senior who is “coerced by his guidance counselor into fulfilling a list of all of her high school fantasies in order for him to graduate”.  This is a first feature to be produced for writer D.J. The Free Box gets a facelift.

I finally completed the process of uploading ALL the Free Box episodes to Vimeo presenting them in the highest quality available for the first time on the net. The Free Box is a web series I directed 27 episodes for 3 years in Portland producing it with borrowed equipment and foodstamps. The original Portlandia! Cell Count Portland Premiere

Oregon made Sci-Fi Thriller Cell Count to be released in Portland on November 2nd.

(Portland, OR – July 31, 2012) Living Room Theaters will be showing the sci-fi horror film festival favorite, Cell Count from Portland filmmaker Todd E. Freeman.

The film, which had its world premiere at the 2012 Fantaspoa Film Festival in Brazil, is the story of Russell Carpenter, a man who reluctantly admits his wife Sadie into an experimental treatment facility for her life-threatening disease. While locked in this prison-like surrounding, they along with 6 others are unknowingly subjected to a cure that might just be worse than the disease itself. 2nd OPIF Tax Credit Auction to Happen September 17-19

In July with the cooperation of Oregon’s Department of Revenue we conducted our first ever auction for the Oregon Production Investment Fund tax credits.  By the time the auction was completed we had more bids for the tax credits than what was available.  The second stage of the auction required those who submitted a bid to turn in a cashier’s check or money order no later than July 20.  Now that DOR has collected all the money, we have determined that there are still credits available. “Grimm” Nominated for Outstanding Stunt Coordination Emmy

Earlier in the day we sang the praises of the two Emmy Nominations for “Portlandia” and the three Emmy Nominations for Weiden + Kennedy.  We failed to recognize the fact that “Grimm” was nominated in the Outstanding Stunt Coordination category.  Stunt Coordinator was recognized for his work on the episode “The Woman in Black”.  Congrats Matt and best of luck in September! Portlandia receives 2 Emmy Nods, Weiden + Kennedy receives 3

Today the Emmy Nominations were announced and “Portlandia” came away with two big nominations.  The show was nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series.  Writers Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein, Jonathan Kreisel and Karey Dornetto were all listed in the nomination.  The show was also recognized for Outstanding Directing in a Variety Series thanks to Jonathan Kreisel’s amazing direction.  The episode Jonathan was recognized for was “One Moore Episode” which was voted by the fans as the best episode to dateContinue reading... “Portlandia receives 2 Emmy Nods, Weiden + Kennedy receives 3”

With Premiere of Season 5 of “Leverage” Stealing the Spruce Goose, Evergreen Aviation Museum Gets Nice Exposure

This past Wednesday I was kindly invited to attend a private sneak peak of the premiere episode of “Leverage” season 5 at the Evergreen Aviation Museum’s incredible digital theater.  In attendance was Executive Producer Dean Devlin and Co-Producer Jose Behar along with founder of Evergreen Aviation Dell Smith.  The screening was held at Evergreen because much of the first episode takes place at the museum.  The Leverage team pulls off a con to steal the legendary Howard Hughes aircraft The Spruce Goose which is housed at the Aviation Museum.  Continue reading... “With Premiere of Season 5 of “Leverage” Stealing the Spruce Goose, Evergreen Aviation Museum Gets Nice Exposure”
