The winners of the third annual Outdoor Adventure Film Grant – “Oregon’s Outdoors Are For Everyone” – recently presented their winning project “Any Oregon Sunday.”
The Winning Team: Kanani Koster, Janie Faison, and Tiffany Lindquist – all based in Portland, OR, and dedicated to telling “diverse and authentic stories that are created by a majority of women and POC-identifying locally-sourced cast and crew” put together this inspiring and uplifting documentary project portraying Adventure MotorSports in Oregon, specifically told through the lens of diverse women riders. Southern Oregon’s 2020 Killer Valley Horror Film Festival (KVHFF) celebrates it’s lucky #13 this year, but for the first time ever, it will not be hosted live. In previous years this festival celebrated independent filmmakers with in-person screenings, filmmaker meet-and-greets, and an awards ceremony in Ashland, OR.
This year, the 2020 Killer Valley Horror Film Festival launches officially on their website at 3am, Oct. 9th (the witching hour) and runs through midnight of Nov. 1st, 2020 (as the Day of the Dead makes way for All Soul’s Day). The Corvallis Queer Film Festival that was started as an OSU faculty project 6 years ago is re-launching as the Tag! Queer Shorts Festival on February 28 at our original home venue, the Darkside Cinema in downtown Corvallis. Tag! Queer Shorts Festival will start offering pop-up screenings in Portland in the fall of 2020 and return to its multi-day competitive festival format in the winter of 2021 hosted by a major Portland arts/film organization.
