Award-winning motion graphics and design house, Cardboard Castle, proudly presents an evening of wonder featuring an immersive video installation inspired by the ethereal beauty of the deep sea.
Infusing digital animation with the ghostly movements of underwater creatures, viewers will float through a vivid ocean dreamscape buoyed on an ambient musical score.
Animators from Cardboard Castle will be on hand to discuss the exhibit and answer any questions from guests. “SHIVER” is now set for a one week run at the Living Room Theatre in Portland, OR commencing on September 20th. There will be a Special Event Premiere of the film at the theatre on September 19th.
The first-of-its-kind iOS app Phrenic has launched version 2.0 with a new episode, short story, and now uses Theatrics to allow anyone to become part of the story by creating their own character and submitting a video that will show up in the app and online. The new design also makes it easier to jump between the mobile games, episodes, and stories that all take place in Phrenic’s world of insanity, cloning, and murder.
With Techfest NW fast approaching we wanted to highlight a few cool elements that have a nice digital storytelling theme. Polluted Pictures is now accepting online submissions for their most current project which is currently “Untitled.” We are shooting this project in accordance with the SAG SHORT FILM guidelines with deferred pay. This film is being produced as a “proof of concept” for a feature film shooting later this year. Our previous three feature films were financed through similar “proof of concept” pieces. CMD and Hinge Digital teamed up to deliver a fun, informative and engaging campaign for NW Natural. “Little Leaks” was conceived as a collaboration between CMD and the Hinge creative team. Hinge created four unique 3D egg characters. The eggs are lighthearted and fun visual storytellers in a spot that educates viewers on how to recognize and react to a gas leak. From Portland, Oregon, a local group of filmmakers have come together to launch a kickstarter campaign for, “Reality Check,” a science fiction short film about an insurance company with a monopoly on time travel.
