Oregon Media Production Community Rolls Out Red Carpet, Honors Best Local Performances Of The Year

The annual 2015 Oregon Actors Awards took place at the Portland Center Stage, to a packed house over the week end.  The awards recognized outstanding members of Oregon’s film, video and multimedia industry.  Four awards were given to film, TV and commercial actors, and one for community service.

The Oregon Actor Awards recognizes on-camera talent whose work has been featured on network television, award-winning feature films, local and national advertising campaigns, short films and web series. The ceremony will be held at the Gerding Theater at the Armory, and includes a red carpet arrival, awards ceremony and hosted reception. The event is also a fundraiser for APP-NW. (PORTLAND, OR) Thirty-two Northwest actors have been chosen to complete a six-week intensive training program, as part of a new Talent Diversity Initiative to take place this fall in Portland. Portland-Based Film “Birds of Neptune” Has Acquired Distribution Through Brinkvision

 

BONposterplainSteven Richter’s feature film “Birds of Neptune” has been acquired by Brinkvision for US distribution.  The film is scheduled to be released on DVD and VOD in early 2016.

The award winning film “Birds of Neptune” was shot in Portland, Oregon with an all local cast and crew and all local vendors.  It premiered at Slamdance early this year and has since gone on to screen at festivals throughout the US  and was the opening night film at the Portland Film Festival. A24 Picked Up US Rights To “Green Room”

the_green_room A24 has picked up the US rights to “Green Room” before it premieres (N. American) at the Toronto Film Festival this September.

Green Room” was shot and produced in Oregon, and is  the latest thriller Jeremy Saulnier (“Blue Ruin”) and produced by Neil Kopp, Anish Savjani and Victor Moyers, and starring Patrick Stewart and Anton Yelchin.  It’s set to have it’s theatrical release spring 2016. It was also part of this year’s Cannes Director’s Fortnight .

“Birds of Neptune” Will Screen Opening Night At The Portland Film Festival

 

BONposterplainBirds of Neptune, an independent film by Steven Richter, will be the Opening Night narrative feature at this year’s Portland Film Festival.
