Jesse Eisenberger (“The Social Network”) and Alia Shawkat (“Arrested Development”) on Kelly Reichardt’s “Night Moves” set in Southern Oregon.
“Night Moves” will be opening May 30th at the Angelika Film Center in New York, most likely followed by openings in Los Angeles and Portland before playing other cities nationwide.
The film will also be screening in advance of the release date, at the Tribeca Film Festival (April 21st, 24th and 27th), as well as at a few other U.S. festivals.
OPB has collected 21 nominations for the NW Regional Emmy Awards 2014 from the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. OPB’s local TV productions, and individual staff, have been recognized for their work in many categories, (historical and cultural segments, environmental programming and specials, as well as documentaries, arts & entertainment features, individual writing, producer and reporting honors) as well as an overall “Station Excellence” award. Members of the Production Industry At PWA NW Youth Careers Expo
Last week saw a strong turnout for the Annual Portland Workforce Alliance NW Youth Careers Expo. Oregon Film asked members of the production community to join us in showcasing an array of production job opportunities that are here in Oregon. With a staggering 5,000 students attending, it was a productive day showing future job possibilities in a hands-on way.
In years gone by, Moviemaker Magazine lumped together big city and small town to compete for the sought after title of, “Best Places To Live and Work as a Moviemaker”. This year, the magazine has split their list into three components:
Top Big Cities (they define as more than 50,000 residents)
