Call for Art! – Solidarity Art Auction

The Young Workers Committee will be holding an art show auction Friday the 13th of October to raise funds for the Entertainment Community Fund to help workers affected by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike (including you). We’re looking for art submissions to be auctioned and volunteer crew to help with making the show happen.

Made-in-Oregon films abound at 11th annual Klamath Independent Film Festival

For the 11th rendition of the Klamath Independent Film Festival, Oregon’s lone film fest that exclusively showcases Made-in-Oregon shorts and feature-length films, over 50 selected films will be presented in-person and online Sept. 22-24.
Organized by Klamath Film, a 501c3 nonprofit that serves as the film liaison office for Klamath County, the festival draws filmmakers and film fans from across the state to Klamath Falls for a three-day celebration of films made across Oregon over the past year. This year’s festival has accepted over 50 films – the most in the festival’s history – necessitating additional online exclusives alongside a full slate of film screenings to be held at the Ross Ragland Theater. Rise: A Community Cinema Showcase is co-presented by Catalyst Film Collective and Women in Film – Portland. The showcase will feature seven short films made by members from both organizations, tied by themes of rising above life’s challenges to uncover our truest selves.

Catalyst Film Collective is a Portland-based nonprofit elevating new voices in film by creating opportunities for members of marginalized communities to tell their own stories—both in front of and behind the camera—at all levels of production.

Biggest Recovery Film Festival In The PNW Happening October 1st!

Bridges to Change is hosting its 3rd annual PDX Recovery Film Festival on October 1st at Revolution Hall in Portland, OR! This annual event showcases winning short films submitted from across the United States and United Kingdom to promote awareness of addictions, mental health issues and homelessness in a creative and impactful way. Bridges to Change hosts this event to support its mission to provide housing to those who need it most, support recovery through the lens of lived experience, promote wellbeing through behavioral health services, and advocate for those who systems have ignored. Oregon OPIF Tax Credit Auction will be held Sept 18-22, 2023

Become a part of iconic #OregonMade productions and help create jobs and marketing value for Oregon.

Oregon’s Film, Television and media tax incentives are funded through an annual auction which creates the Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF). This annual tax credit auction will take place starting at 9a on Monday, September 18, 2023 and run for 5 days until 5p on Friday, September 22, 2023.

$20M of Oregon state tax credits will be available to purchase in $500 increments by auction at a minimum bid of 90% of face value.

We are accepting proposals from partner organizations for projects to be considered for the next Creative Opportunity Program funding from Oregon Film through 5p September 1, 2023. If you run or are part of an media focused organization (non-profit, membership or public benefit entity) and have a program that you believe will be helpful to grow, educate, enlighten, train or otherwise benefit the film, television, animation, commercial, interactive or media community here in Oregon please send us your proposals.

Paramount + Announce Start Of Production In Portland On “Little Wing”

Paramount+ today announced the start of production and cast for the service’s latest original coming-of-age film, “Little Wing”, from Awesomeness and inspired by the New Yorker article of the same name by Susan Orlean. The film starts production this month in Portland. COP’s “Tell Your Story” Grant Opens For Submissions Monday, April 3rd

Oregon Film through its Creative Opportunity Program is offering two grants of $15,000 each to Oregon-based filmmakers or filmmaking teams. The grant is designed to support a non-project-specific, virtual residency, allowing filmmakers to develop, explore, and shoot the stories they want to tell in any film format they choose. While all applicants are welcome, there is a special emphasis on those from Oregon’s beautiful rural regions and the BIPOC community, including but not limited to Latina/Latino, Asian American, and Pacific Islanders.
