Oregon OPIF Tax Credit Auction will be held Sept 18-22, 2023

Become a part of iconic #OregonMade productions and help create jobs and marketing value for Oregon.

Oregon’s Film, Television and media tax incentives are funded through an annual auction which creates the Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF). This annual tax credit auction will take place starting at 9a on Monday, September 18, 2023 and run for 5 days until 5p on Friday, September 22, 2023.

$20M of Oregon state tax credits will be available to purchase in $500 increments by auction at a minimum bid of 90% of face value. This means you can purchase a $50,000 Oregon state tax credit at auction for as little as $45,000. This is a great way to pre-pay your state taxes at a discount and direct your tax dollars to an industry that provides jobs, small business growth and ongoing marketing value for the state. Find out more about the auction, its mechanics and benefits on this page of our site.

Showing Up, A24

Most recently this program has helped provide jobs, spending and international audiences for the state of Oregon by hosting Oscar winning films like Guillermo del Toro’s “Pinocchio,” locally produced projects like Kelly Reichardt’s “Showing Up” and the Adam Driver starring event film “65” which shot in Coos and Curry Counties. These projects bring new talent to the state to utilize our crews, locations and businesses and to celebrate Oregon’s long history of storytellers. While the Oregon Film Trail helps engage and quantify the impact of Film Tourism across the state recognizing iconic locations for films like “Sometimes a Great Notion,” “Homeward Bound,” “Stand By Me” and “The Goonies.”
