#OregonMade “Trinkets“, received 7 Day Time Emmy nominations and 5 of those are for local Oregon Crews and individual crew members.

This Netflix series season portrayed a grieving teen who, “finds an unexpected connection with two classmates at her new high school after they all land in the same Shoplifters Anonymous group.

Bend Composer, Chris Thomas, Wins HMMA Award For Outstanding Original Score – Short Film Category

Recently announced by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards that Chris Thomas, Bend composer, and Central Oregon Symphony  cellist – has won the Outstanding Original Score – Short Film award for the live-action short, “Imagine Symphony Live.”  The film is set in Oregon and was produced and directed by Evan Sigvaldsen.  The film depicts the story of a child who, while attending a live orchestra performance, is so inspired by the music that he begins to daydream he is outside exploring the majesty of the Oregon landscape – the magic of the music heightening his experience. “Sixes” Director’s Cut Released After 15 Year – Filmed in the Rogue Valley

“Sixes” is an independent feature directed by Ray Nomoto Robison. It was shot over 15 years ago primarily in a warehouse in southern Oregon. It is one of the first totally digital feature films.

The 15th anniversary edition of Sixes releases this month. The film premiered at Dance with Films in Hollywood in 2006 to rave reviews – including this one from the late Todd David Schwartz of CBS Radio.

Welcome To The World Of “Rival Peak” – Pipeworks’ New Cloud Game/Reality Show Now On Facebook

Pipeworks Studios (and Genvid Technologies) unveiled “Rival Peak” this week – a brand new interactive game experience that is part reality show and part game, now running on Facebook.  12 AI characters make up the contestants who are competing, “Surivoresque” style, in a beautiful Pacific Northwest landscape. The Facebook audience will be able to influence the fate of their favorite AI characters in real-time.  The show will run 24 hours a day and is hosted by Wil Wheaton (“Stand By Me”). When in Doubt
A new documentary about the importance of difficult conversations and the benefits of doubt.

The Signal Productions is making a documentary with the aim of helping improve dialogue across ideological divides and strengthening relationships. We are working with one of the authors of How to Have Impossible Conversations, Peter Boghossian, who will be coaching our documentary subjects to improve their ability to communicate. The film will feature amazing people like Daryl Davis, self-described race reconciliator, who was able to get over 200 people to leave behind hateful organizations like the KKK just through dialogue and by befriending them. Eastern Oregon Film Festival will be celebrating its eleventh year of independent film and music programming VIA La Grande, Oregon on October 22-24, 2020. This year EOFF joins a trend that we are all becoming more accustomed to – virtual cinema. Working with Eventive, an event management platform, EOFF now has the means to deliver this year’s program to our growing audience in their homes, but also the potential to reach far more audience members than ever before.

Soma Games Releases Game “Wind Up Robots Classic”

In just a couple of days, Wind Up Robots Classic will be available for any mobile Apple or Android device. This is an updated release of one of our first mobile games.

Back in 2011, Wind Up Robots was the second game Soma Games published. The basic story is that a kid named Zach is understandably afraid of the dark. His grandfather, both a veteran and inventor, creates small robots to protect Zach while he sleeps. Adventures On Set – Bruce Lawson On “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey”

Disney’s, “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” has become a solid family favorite – it tells the story of three pets, two dogs and cat, “Shadow”, “Chance” and “Sassy,” who escape from a California ranch and travel together for miles over rough terrain in order to find their owners who had recently moved to San Francisco. Production started in 1992 and this feature shot most of its scenes at locations such as; Joseph, Eagle Cap, the Deschutes River, the Gorge, Portland and Central Oregon among others – all doing an admirable job standing in for the California Sierras and San Fransico.
