#OregonMade “Pinocchio,” directed by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson, has released a beautiful behind-the-scenes peek at the making of this stop-motion animated musical.  “Pinocchio” is a co-production of del Toro, The Jim Henson Company, and Portland-based ShadowMachine. ShadowMachine also created the popular Bojack Horseman and The Shivering Truth, among other shows. Henry Selick’s “Wendell & Wild” To Premiere At TIFF

 

Henry Selick’s “Wendell & Wild” was the only animated film to make the recently announced Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) lineup. It will premiere in the Special Presentations section of the festival. “Wendell & Wild” is directed by Henry Selick, (“Coraline“) and co-created with writer and filmmaker Jordan Peele (“Get Out, Us”), Keegan-Michael Key, and Lyric Ross star (voice.)

#OregonMade “Pinocchio” Coming To Netflix Later This Year

7 Daytime Emmy Nominations For “Trinkets” & 5 For Local Oregon Crews!

#OregonMade “Trinkets“, received 7 Day Time Emmy nominations and 5 of those are for local Oregon Crews and individual crew members.

This Netflix series season portrayed a grieving teen who, “finds an unexpected connection with two classmates at her new high school after they all land in the same Shoplifters Anonymous group.

“Trinkets” won two Emmys for the first season for “Outstanding Young Adult Program” and “Outstanding Writing for a Children’s or Young Adult Program” – Writers: Amy Andelson, Stephanie Coggins, Linda Gase, Emily Meyer, Jess Meyer, Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith, Matt Shire. ShadowMachine’s #OregonMade Animated Musical “Pinocchio” Announces Cast

Shadow Machine announced this week its cast choices for the animated musical feature, “Pinocchio“.  Principal photography on “Pinocchio” began last autumn at ShadowMachine’s Portland studio and production has continued uninterrupted during the pandemic.

#OregonMade Netflix Film, “All Together Now” To Air August 28th

#OregonMade Netflix film, “All Together Now” released its official trailer for this YA drama that is set to air on August 28th.  Starring, Auli’i Cravalho (“Moana”), Rhenzy Feliz, Carol Burnett, and Fred Armisen, this project filmed all over Portland and of course hired an Oregon crew.  “All Together Now” is based upon the novel, “Sorta Like a Rockstar,” by Matthew Quick, (who also wrote the novel, “Silver Linings Playbook” and who also took on the initial adaptation of “All Together Now”) the screenplay was directed and co-written by Brett Haley (“Hearts Beat Loud”, “I’ll See You In My Dreams”) and Marc Basch co-wrote. #OregonMade Team Created Netflix’s “Fire In Paradise” Doc

Fire in Paradise“, the Netflix documentary chronicling the recent (2018) Camp Fire in northern California that killed 85 people, was produced by Gary Kout, based in Ashland, OR. The film was directed by Drea Cooper and Zackary Canapari, for whom Gary has produced many commercial and documentary projects including the award-winning feature doc “T-Rex” and the acclaimed Netflix doc series “Flintown“.

Netflix’s “Trinkets” Is Back For Season 2

We are excited that the Netflix young adult series, “Trinkets,”  will be back in Oregon for season 2 for a 10 episode run that is being dubbed “its final” one, starring, Elodie (Brianna Hildebrand), Moe (Kiana Madeira) and Tabitha (Quintessa Swindell).
