Clackamas Community College’s New Motion Capture System to be on Display at Dec. 5 Party

We said there would be more great announcements coming regarding the Oregon Film end of the year party and here’s one we’re particularly excited about.  Under the leadership of Andy Mingo of Clackamas Community College, local Game Art Production Studio Supergenius, and the Economic Development team at Clackamas County  a new course will be offered at CCC in January surrounding motion capture.  On December 5 at the Oregon Film end of the year party , you will all get the chance to see the new system on display and even possibly get a chance to animate yourself!

“Wild” Has Been Attracting Public Interest As Well As Local And National Press

Top Actors Receive Superfine Awards

Oregon’s industry members present awards for excellence in craft and community building

Hundreds of actors, agents, casting directors and industry supporters, including Senate President Pro Tempore Ginny Burdick and AFL-CIO President Tom Chamberlain were on hand to celebrate the depth, breadth and professional skills of Oregon’s on-screen acting industry at Oregon’s Got Talent in Portland last Saturday.  The Oregon film and television industry event included an actor’s expo, workshops and awards show

with musicians Hamilton Cheifetz, Jeffrey Kauffman, Richard Moore, Portland Teen Idol winner Haley Ward, and acclaimed funnyman Darius Pierce as Master of Ceremonies.

Phrenic Invites You to “Go Clone Yourself”

 

Phrenic–an iOS thriller you watch, read, and play–invites anyone to create a character by uploading a video or writing a very short story from the perspective of a human clone. Videos and stories can be submitted from the Phrenic app itself or on Phrenic’s page on Theatrics. A storyline about liberated clones was designed specifically as a framework for user generated content. Disguises (or Halloween costumes) are encouraged to protect the identity of other clones.

Stories and videos will be published in the Phrenic app and online (one user-submitted story is already live in the app).
