15th Annual Scriptapalooza Television Writing Competition
Our intention is to help open doors for the aspiring television writer. There are four categories you can submit to, which include one hour existing shows, 1 hour existing sitcom, original pilots, and reality shows.
The participants we have chosen to read the winning scripts are individuals from established production companies. Whether you are already an aspiring television writer or a writer interested in exploring other avenues, Scriptapalooza TV is here to promote careers in television and provide exposure for the undiscovered writer.
Oregon is leading the show in film production. There are tax incentives to be had from producing here. What’s not clear is where the funding comes from. Or more precisely why taxpayers would be inclined to contribute to OPIF. Truth is, there are significant tax savings to be had on the giving end (taxpayer) as well as the receiving end (production). Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Oregon Story Board’s digital media business accelerator, and will seek out and secure additional public and private investments to expand the reach of the organization. The Northwest Film Center School of Film is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for its Certificate Program in Film–a non-degree track for individuals aspiring to make films. Applications for the Program can be downloaded from the School of Film’s website, nwfilm.org/school.
The hands-on Certificate Program in Film provides a structure within which individuals can advance from the beginning to advanced level of filmmaking, while creating works that showcase them as emerging filmmaker. With Techfest NW fast approaching we wanted to highlight a few cool elements that have a nice digital storytelling theme. As a result of the legislation passed this year, Oregon’s Department of Revenue will be conducting another tax credit auction for the Oregon Production Investment Fund.This time the total amount of tax credits to be auctioned will be $4,000,000.The process will be exactly like the successful auction conducted in July.It’s important to know that there is only time for one more OPIF auction this year so we will be working hard to make sure all $4,000,000 sells out in the designated time frame.
