SOFaT Announces New Board

Southern Oregon Film and Television (SOFaT), Southern Oregon’s media industry trade association, introduced its new board last night at their 2013 Wrap Celebration held at the SOU Digital Media Center in Ashland. Members of the organization were joined by prominent members of local government and business to celebrate a very successful year in film and media production in the region, which included a very high-profile day of shooting for the Reese Witherspoon film WILD.

Celebrate Earth Day! See Oregon’s First Lady, Cylvia Hayes’ Earth Hour Challenge Monster Makeover!

We blogged recently about the “I Will If You Will” challenge campaign that the World Wildlife Fund and Earth Hour created.  It was a way for them to encourage conversation and positive action for the environment.  Many high profile companies and individuals around the world created their own challenges, including Cylvia Hayes, Oregon’s First Lady. Ms. Hayes agreed to be made-up into a “Wesen” monster (by the special effects make-up artists from the NBC Universal show, “Grimm”) if one thousand people agreed to take a stand against the haunting of the “phantom load” in homes and offices everywhere, by unplugging unused electronics!   Continue reading... “Celebrate Earth Day! PORTLAND, Oregon (April 12, 2013)  After taking the feature film “Cell Count” to film festivals all over the world in 2012 and seeing the film through to distribution, it is now Polluted Pictures profound pleasure to announce they will co-produce the feature film “Deep Dark” together with Vitamin M in the Summer ’13.

EOFF2013 is the fourth annual Eastern Oregon Film Festival held in La Grande, OregonFebruary 28th – March 2nd, 2013. EOFF features an amazing line-up of emerging independent feature and short films. EOFF2013: Poised for the new year!

Eastern Oregon Film Festival is coming together. Strong. Friends of the festival are stepping up and becoming members. Businesses, organizations, and industry professionals are helping to create a sustainable ‘force-to-be-reckoned-with’ in beautiful La Grande, Oregon.

We felt warm embraces by local and regional audiences, were humbled with the presence of more guest artists than ever, and saw a 30% increase in attendance. EOFF was one of the first festivals to utilize Skype technology for its Q/As.
