I am very excited to extend a special invitation to the private, one time screening of the feature film, “Population: 2”. The screening will take place on Thursday, December 8th, 7:30p.m. (theater doors open at 6pm) at the Baghdad Theater in Portland Oregon. I was a writer and producer on the film, and had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Kenneth Luba of golightlyfilms as Director of Photography and Gil Luna of Moon Tribe Studios as writer/director.

In a bold move to increase the comfort level of thousands of patrons in Portland, Oregon, the Hollywood Theatre is rolling out an aggressive, new ergonomic stimulus package called “Creature Comforts”.
The Hollywood Theatre, long recognized as a historic landmark in the centrally located Hollywood neighborhood of Portland, is the recent beneficiary of ergonomic stimulus aid from Regal Cinemas, a national movie theatre chain, in the form of 600 “gently used” seats for its three auditoriums.
Like many stimulus packages, this generous gift of seats (a $100,000 value if the theatre were to try to buy them on their own) comes with a local matching component. Continue reading... “Hollywood Theatre Receives 600 Donated Seats”

Recently the media that covers the film and television industry has taken notice in all the work happening in the state. In the web based trade “The Wrap”, a recent article about the state of the TV industry mentioned Portland as a city on the rise for TV production. We were also contacted by the Hollywood Reporter a month or so ago as they decided to do a feature on the TV work in the city. Some of you may remember that they did a “Made in Oregon” feature a year and a half ago. Continue reading... “Success of Oregon’s Film and TV industry highlighted in Hollywood Reporter”

You only need to glance at the comments posted on this YouTube clip to see how this particular commercial, showing off the new Audi A6, has people fired up! But non-the-less, we like car commercials and we have many shooting here to know! They often have healthy budgets and of course, provide local jobs. We make an effort to promote the versatile roads of Oregon and in some ways it’s not that difficult; beautiful high desert, mountains, beaches, urban scenes, small towns and an easy distance between them. In today’s People website, there is a good video sneak peak of “Grimm”. Most of the cast is interviewed about the show. Towards the end of the video the cast talks about the experience of filming in Portland. Even though they are beginning to experience the pleasure of the rain coming back into the Northwest, the cast seems to be enjoying the experience. Be sure to check out the video here.
