After making his way through another successful Eastern Oregon Film Festival, filmmaker and Eastern Oregon native Ian Clark is taking his most recent project “MMXIII” on a theatrical tour……. online. Ian has made arrangements for several different websites to host his project on their site over the next month. The “tour” actually started last week on the Eastern Oregon Film Festival website and now is on Filmmaker Magazine’s website. Willamette Writers is soliciting entries for the 2014 FiLMLaB Script to Screen short film scriptwriting competition. We seek writers with the ability to tell a compelling story quickly and cinematically, while adhering to a theme and a practical eye towards real-life movie production. Eastern Oregon Film Festival is proud to present it’s fifth edition — #EOFF2014. The festival will kick off Thursday, February 20, and run through Saturday, February 22. A decompression gathering with music, skiing, and snowboarding will take place Sunday, February 23 at Anthony Lakes Ski Resort.
The opening night short film is Bernardo Britto’s YEARBOOK, followed by Dave Carroll’s feature documentary, BENDING STEEL. A live Q&A with the filmmakers will take place after the screening. (Eugene, OR.) Eugene’s Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts (DIVA) announces its tenth annual OpenLens Short Film Competition. This event provides an opportunity for Oregon resident filmmakers to showcase their short films of 15 minutes or less in a competitive event. “Night Moves” was written by Kelly Reichardt and Jon Raymond (“Mildred Pierce”, “Meek’s Cutoff”, “Wendy and Lucy”) and Executive Produced by Kim Saerom, Brett Cranford, Lourenço Sant’Anna, Alejandro De Leon, Todd Haynes, and Larry Fessenden, and starring Jesse Eisenberg (“The Social Network”), Dakota Fanning (“The Secret Life of Bees”), and Peter Sarsgaard (“Blue Jasmine”).
Polluted Pictures is now accepting online submissions for their most current project which is currently “Untitled.” We are shooting this project in accordance with the SAG SHORT FILM guidelines with deferred pay. This film is being produced as a “proof of concept” for a feature film shooting later this year. Our previous three feature films were financed through similar “proof of concept” pieces.
