Hi All– I’m the new intern here at the Governor’s Office of Film & Television.  I love all things film and Oregon, as well as baking and studying communication theory.  If you want to talk about the entertainment industry, I’m practically a walking IMDb.

Oregon Legislature Round-Up – Transformational for Oregon’s Film, TV, and Digital Media Industry

On Monday July 8, the 2013 Oregon Legislative session wrapped up, and it has proven to be a landmark legislative session.  On Monday morning the House concurred with the amendments the Senate passed for HB 3367 over the weekend resulting in an increase annual allocation for the Oregon Production Investment Fund tax credit.  The allocation in OPIF will go from $6million a year to $10million a year.  Other important legislation that will positively affect Oregon’s film, television, and digital media industry includes HB 5028 which allows the Oregon Innovation Council to fund the Oregon Story Board, and SB 836 which exempts film, tv and theartical hair, and make-up professionals from certain cosmetology regulations.  Continue reading... “Oregon Legislature Round-Up – Transformational for Oregon’s Film, TV, and Digital Media Industry”

The OMPA Classic takes place on July 12, 2013 at The Resort at The Mountain (Lakeside Lawn) in Welches, Oregon and includes a golf tournament, croquet tournament and awards party with an auction and raffle. The Digits is Now Available in PBS LearningMedia

Portland Oregon, May 7, 2013 . . . Portland-based web series “The Digits” has recently joined forces with education icon PBS to offer educators a free teacher-tested math resource for their elementary school students. Created by Scotty Iseri, The Digits will be part of PBS LearningMedia beginning mid-April 2013 and will offer teachers ten appisodes (web episode that’s also available as an app) of The Digits.
